There are some out parts out of stock so it may be a while before I get them, I noticed that the ones listed did not include the much larger capacitors I can see on the board. Thank you very much for all the helpful suggestions, I did try them all before sent the post but to no avail. Today the unit stopped completely and the screen will no longer power up. I did find a blog called Joes Technology https://joes-tech-blog.blogspot.com/2018/11/logitech-slimdevices-squeezebox-classic.html https://joes-tech-blog.blogspot.com/2019/12/logitech-slimdevices-squeezebox-classic.html Reading through the checks I can see that the led for the toslink is still dimly alight so there must be power getting to the board, but it sounds like its probably beyond my capabilities at this point. I may try to dissemble it, clean and reset the boards, as I don't really have anything to loose . [slim] Squeezebox 2 keeps stopping
Hello I recently acquired a Squeezebox 2, I have two Touches and three RPs running quite happily for several years, but I really fancied the 'retro' look of the SB2 and wanted to connect it to a tube amplifier kit that I built over the Christmas Holidays. I purchased the unit from someone who had not used it for a year or so but assured me it had been running it on Wi-Fi without any apparent issues. When I connected it up it played for a short time, 3 minutes or so that then stopped. When I tried to reconnect it, it went back to the initial network settings setup screen and it does this either on Wi-Fi or ethernet. I did some digging around here and on the web and tried all the suggestions I could find. I have used different power supplies, removed the Wi-Fi card (I only want to run it wired anyway) performed factory resets and given it a static ip address but all to no avail. The unit will play for a few minutes, there are occasional clicks or cracks (loss of data?) and then the unit will stop playing. Any suggestions would be greatly apricated Regards Steve .. Re: [slim] Net::UDAP - SqueezeBox Receiver configuration tool
I did start following the instructions before I posted for help, but the link in the instructions to download the zipped file comes back with Trac Error - Net-UDAP no node branches / 1.0.x I'm sorry but I don't understand what that means but I'm guessing it means the file is not there ? Re: [slim] Anyone still using Slacker Radio?
MeSue wrote: > Thanks for the replies. Too bad because I really like their radio > features. I will probably cancel after this month I've paid for and send > them some feedback as to why. Hello Glad I'm not the only one then, I've used Slacker ever since I got my first Touch back about six years ago ( it has since been joined by another touch and three Raspberry Pis). I really liked the service and it's ease of use so I got a subscription. Lately it has been stopping a lot and it's amazing how frustrating that can be. Not knowing the cause I contacted Slacker ( no help) reloaded LMS, removed the app, added it again and various other bits of black magic. Really very sad it has become almost unusable. If its going to be a dead duck what would folks suggest as the next best option ?
