[slim] Embedded artwork with type application/octet-stream
Mandriva 2008 SC 7.0 It seems that most of my embedded artwork files are somehow showing up as "application/octet-stream" and therefore not being displayed. For some reason, a few are "image/jpeg" and those are displayed properly. How or where is this "type" being set for embedded artwork? And is there a way I can fix it? Here is some logging output: IMAGE NOT DISPLAYED: [08-01-19 10:45:48.1400] Slim::Music::Artwork::_readCoverArtTags (238) Found image of length [39626] bytes with type: [application/octet-stream] [08-01-19 10:45:48.1497] Slim::Web::Graphics::processCoverArtRequest (205) The variable $actualContentType, which attempts to understand what image type the original file is, is set to application/octet-stream [08-01-19 10:45:48.1502] Slim::Web::Graphics::processCoverArtRequest (231) got cover art image application/octet-stream of 39626 bytes [08-01-19 10:45:48.1509] Slim::Web::Graphics::processCoverArtRequest (438) Can't use GD for application/octet-stream (music/4509/cover_132x132_p.png) IMAGE DISPLAYED CORRECTLY: [08-01-19 10:49:22.7882] Slim::Music::Artwork::_readCoverArtTags (238) Found image of length [109112] bytes with type: [image/jpeg] [08-01-19 10:49:22.8001] Slim::Web::Graphics::processCoverArtRequest (205) The variable $actualContentType, which attempts to understand what image type the original file is, is set to image/jpeg [08-01-19 10:49:22.8008] Slim::Web::Graphics::processCoverArtRequest (231) got cover art image image/jpeg of 109112 bytes [08-01-19 10:49:22.8012] Slim::Web::Graphics::processCoverArtRequest (432) No need to process image for music/10545/cover.jpg -- Xhorder Xhorder's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1774 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42452 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

[slim] Embedded artwork not showing up
running 6.5.4 on Mandriva Linux 2008.0 Artwork embedded in mp3 files is not showing up in either the Browse album mode, or when viewing the individual song or album. Artwork files inside album folders works fine, it's just the embedded ones that don't work. I've wiped the cache and rebuilt the db, with no effect. Any ideas? Searching revealed others with this problem, but no clear solution. -- Xhorder Xhorder's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1774 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41334 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I have a bunch of plugins. Off the top of my head: Last.FM Sirius SuperDateTime Lyrics Tetris AlienBBC IR-Blaster Random Mix I tired d_plugins and it didn't provide much useful info as far as I could see. Mostly LastFM submission stuff.. I've attached the output of "ps ax". Something shows up there. But still nothing shows up in KDE System Guard, which is what I usually use... +---+ |Filename: ps_ax_output.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1393| +---+ -- Xhorder Xhorder's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1774 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24467 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
[slim] Progress Bar not working properly!
Ok, this is really weird: I have my SB2 display set to show a progess bar with elapsed time. However, it's acting very strange. For most of each song, it stays blank with an elapsed time of 00:00. Then for the last part of the song, it will come on and get updated at approximately 0:40 remaining and then at 0:10 remaining. Any idea what's going on here??? I think something's fundamentally wrong, but what debugging should I turn on? I haven't been able to get anything useful, and following always shows up at the top of log.txt 2006-06-04 11:00:36.2240 Parse error on line 36:EN 2006-06-04 11:00:36.4182 Parse error on line 36:EN Also, slimserver is not showing up in the Process Table, where it always has before (unless I'm going crazy...) I've stopped and started slimserver a couple times to no effect. The only things I've changed recently was to clear my library and rescan a few times, and add Scanner plugin (which I have since removed) HELP! I'm running 6.2.2 - 7135 Linux on Mandriva 2006. Well, I just tried using cover.png and cover.jpg. Neither showed up in the "Browse Artwork"... It's only the "Browse Artwork" that doesn't show anything. It may be a .png problem. [slim] "Auditing" cover images?
Is there any way to "audit" my cover images? In other words, determine which albums don't have artwork (other than clicking hundreds of times). I have all cover art in "ALBUMNAME.png" format, and sometimes the file name is not exactly the same as the album tag, and therefore the image doesn't show up... thanks -- Xhorder Xhorder's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1774 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19539 ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

[slim] HELP! Squeezebox2 Display garbled after connecting to Slimserver
I'm trying to get my new Squeezebox2 to work, and so far I'm able to connect to Slimserver (6.1.1 on Linux), and get music to play. However, the display is screwed up. Everything is doubled up and sort of shoved over to the left. BUT, when I connect to SqueezeNetworks, it corrects itself and behaves normally. Then as soon as I go back to Slimserver, it screws up again. Is there a solution to this?? I have firmware 15 Chris P.S. This looks to be an AWESOME product if I can get it to work right! -- Xhorder ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
