I kind of had a stab at this before. see.. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52806 I have my library set up, but i'd also like to be able to play the odd random mp3 from my laptop. This MP3 may not have correct id3 tags or may just be junk i don't want messing up my library. I could easiy write a windows shell extension / applet which could temporarily place the mp3 on squeeze center machine then make the appropriate web/cli call to play it, but this would cause the track to be indexed and added to the library. Had the problem again this morning and i had been syncing over the weekend. Went into squeeze center and unsynced (softsqeeze was in the list but not actually running or connected). After the unsync, everything was fine so it looks like this is the problem. [slim] stopping at end of track
Since upgrading to 7.1 i've had a problem where my SB3 stops at the end of the track while its in 'random song' mode about 80% of the time. Is this a known issue? I've done a search and can't see anyone else with the problem. I had crossfade switched on and was wondering if it were something to do with that. I switched it off this morning and the problem didn't occur again but only tested with 3 tracks. This happened again on friday night, and yes i was using random mix before going to bed in both cases. [slim] Woke up at 3AM
Hi, Last night i got woken up by my sqeezebox just after 3AM. This is the second time its happened. I have an alarm set for 7AM so i just assumed it was time to get up. I've checked the server log file but there is nothing in there regarding it. Are there any other log files i can check to see why this happened? Could it be anything do do with my alarm? maybe the squeeze box's time went temporarily 4 hours fast? How do alarms work... is it the server that wakes the sqeeze box up at the right time or is the alarm stored on the player? Does this happen to anyone else? I've had a breif look arround.
