I was so happy it worked... but no sometimes i still don't have any sound from my alac files and the strangest things happens. First, now, i have problem can't open file for and 2nd this file i try to play goes directly in a no genre folder ! It's SF as this no genre folder didn't exist right before i played the song ! Please help. Sometimes i also get a windows error for this socketwrapper.exe file. I'm becoming mad. Hi ceejay, I use XP 2 and SlimServer Version: 6.5.1 - 11206 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252 Server IP address: 192.168.0.1 Perl Version: 5.8.8 MSWin32-x86-multi-thread MySQL Version: 5.0.22-community- I just tried to play MP3 and wav. ok for mp3 but for the .wav it plays the first mp3 i read, strange ! As i said, just moved back to 6.5.0 and it works, only radios are a bit more difficult to get. let me just say, as a SB3 lover, how pain in the ass is Slimserver. I just can't understand how the official release can't just work properly !! Is it really to much to ask ?? I'm very aware of all the good work being done around here by many people but none other 300 bucks product is so difficult to use properly. I spent so many hours just try to figure out why i had X number of files in my hard drive and itunes but Y files with slimserver. When it's not the No Genre problem or the error radio problem and now the no sound problem. You just have to try and try again different setup. How come ? Sorry for the Coup de geule but it becomes a love hate feeling but more important it's so time consuming, sometimes i just want to use my cd player again and just get rid of the thing (and i just spent 2 months every night riping my entire cd collection). Anybody ?? I think there's problem with decoders, if i try to add one, it doent't work, something's missing. Does 6.5.1 works with ALAC ?? Hi everybody, Why is it so complicated everytime slimserver is upgraded ?? I first had problems with my albums, missing 600. Resolved by adding Music Folder path but finally with all my APPLE LOSLESS files correctly founded, there is no sound. I just use SB3 for my audiophile system and only alac files from Itunes 7. After having 6.5.1 installed, SB did the normal upgrade to 72 firmware version. I don't use any plugins. Hi everybody, If you experience problems with : - Albums in No genre categorie - ArtWork - More generally, not all your albums found correctly in Slimserver -- It's ITUNES7 fault ! and maybe not slimserver 6.5. Everything worked fine (and work now) with slimserver 6.3 and itune 6.05 but with Itunes7 all the album i add manually a cover appeared as NO GENRE in slimserver + only these covers appeared in Artwork. Even with Itunes 6 back i experienced those problems, only with albums i add manually a cover with itunes7 (grrr) To go back to normal : -- Get rid of itunes 7 AND * in ServerSettings : C:\Documents and Settings\Moi\Mes documents\Ma musique\iTunes * in serversettings/itunes music library C:\Documents and Settings\Moi\Mes documents\Ma musique\iTunes\iTunes Music Library.xml * in iTunes Music Folder : Leave BLANK Now everything's back to normal. today everything's working, for how long ?? I assume i'm not the only one having these problems. I'll try My Pick Plugins but the real problem is access to radios and not only with favorites. I get so often the ERROR from live365 and of course it's impossible de log in and playing radios... [slim] What's wrong with radios !?
Hi everybody, I run slimserver 6.3.1 with SB3 and have always problems connecting to my favourites radios. Why, please tell me why, it sometimes - very rarely - works with no problem and few hours later it's impossible to connect. Most of the time i can get access to only 1 of my favourite, wheter it's from shoutcast or live365. I tried itune to see if it was the radio server but no, it always works perfectly ! So is there recurent problems with the SB and should i plug a cable from my pc to my stereo and get rid of the box using itune only ?? Btw i'm in France if it changes a thing. Can the Squeezebox itself connect to Squeezenetwork? as i said yes Is the machine that Slimserver runs on able to connect to other sites? ok I found out, silly problem and all my fault ! I disabled mp3 file on the conversion fite setup. It was an easy way for not having my mp3s displayed on my SB. I use it only for carry on music. thanks a lot bpa ! i know have to figure out about not having my mp3s mixed with my lossless music. I use itune and checked only itune file access on setup but i still go by my other folder with mp3s. I run now slimserver 6.2.2 with auto update i've got Player Firmware 48 (smooth operation btw) but still SB2 recognized. It didn't change a thing, everything works but the RADIOS. I got categories (from slimdevices pick or live365) but still the fuc... Hi everybody, Very happy SB3 user for a couple of weeks i'm having problems to connect to radios with slimserver. All my radios are impossible to play (problem can't open file for). Smoothjazz.com / radioioacoustic for exemple. From my favorites or by search, same problem. Everything else works, playing my music, network, radios with squeezenetwork. It's a first time problem, i haven't changed a thing since last time it was working and i haven't a clue of what the problem is. I still have slimserver 6.2.1 and firmware 28 (with SB2 recognized but it has always been like this) I've tried to disconnect the sb several times, nothing changes.
