1.3 is now on the app store - player sync works by drag and drop on the players menu - to unsync players tap the connection line that joins synced players together to break it. You can save your current playlist using the icon at the bottom right of the current playlist screen. As before there shouldn't be any issues upgrading but a fresh install from itunes is recommended. -- idowantapickle idowantapickle's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16490 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=55073 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Squidgy 1.3 has now been submitted to Apple and should hopefully be available in a few days. (1.2 was an internal test release in case you were wondering). New features include: Player sync Playlist support - view existing playlists and save the current playlist Improved compatability with NAS servers There is also a number of bugfixes mainly around connection / reconnection issues, database refresh and multiple albums with the same name. -- idowantapickle idowantapickle's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16490 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=55073 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Announce: squeezeslave and SlimProtoLib
You could maybe do something with pulseaudio - http://pulseaudio.org/ - if you're just looking to pipe the output someplace else. There is a plugin module called module-pipe-sink Provides a simple test sink that writes the audio data to a FIFO special file in the file system. The sink name defaults to fifo_output. Squeezeslave might need to be modified or configured to be a pulseaudio client though and i'm not exactly sure what that involves. -- idowantapickle idowantapickle's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16490 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20160 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Squidgy for iPhone now available in Apple App Store
Looks like 1.1 is now on the app store. At the moment I would recommend uninstalling any previous version before the upgrade, especially if you had problems scanning in 1.0. Saying that, theres no reason why a straight update would cause problems if you have a full database on your device. This should hopefully fix problems a couple of people have had with large libraries and server authentication, as well as a few things people have requested over the last week. Re: [slim] Album Sorting - Confusion, Flaws, and an unclear path forward
Random Lurker;361974 Wrote: I realize it should be simple - that's why it bugs me. Picking 2 of the U2 albums in question - indeed, every single track has the exact same ARTIST, ALBUMARTIST, and ARTISTSORT : U2. Yet they do not appear sorted in the U's. Was there not an issue a while back that if the first time the scanner encountered an artist it used that artistsort for all subsequesnt tags for that artist? So for example, I couldn't figure out why Fleetwood Mac were appearing under 'B' in my artists list. It turned out that I had a fleetwood mac track on some blues compilation that some bright spark had filled in an ARTISTSORT tag of 'Blues' on musicbrainz. Because I normally use easytag, which doesn't show artistsort, I didn't spot this. The upshot of all this is that the database scan forever associated ARTIST:Fleetwood Mac with ARTISTSORT:Blues, even though I have 7 FM albums with the correct artistsort tag. My memory is quite hazy on this, but I know that I sat down one night and went through every artist that was in the wrong place and reset all the artistsort tags and did a full 'wipe database and start again' scan and they were all ok after that. Where do U2 appear in your list as a matter of interest, and do you have them listed on any albums that are compilations etc? -- idowantapickle idowantapickle's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16490 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=55335 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Just tap the album art and they slide in from the top. Set your volume / shuffle / repeat preferences or turn off the current player. To hide the player controls again just tap outside the player control area. In album view rotate the phone left to see the album grid view. Scroll left to right, or pick an album to see the track list. Tap outside the album area to return to the grid view. Use the players option on the main menu to change your current player. Wikipedia takes you straight to the wikipedia page for the currently playing artist. You can also customise a few aspects of Squidgy. If you don't like the default white on grey you can change to more standard iphone colours in the settings menu. You can also configure the default behaviour when clicking on an album here. Some settings to check if you are having problems are tucked away under 'Advanced' in the server settings screen. It appears that some of the NAS builds use a different HTTP port by default, so please check this and the CLI port if you are having problems connecting. If you have problems scanning, try setting the 'charset' value to utf8 and see if that helps. This shouldn't be needed on recent 7.3 server builds.
