Re: [slim] ANN: Orange Squeeze 1.3.0 released!
I have the paid version of the app and would like to know how to play ALL songs in a particular folder and also if there's a way to toggle a RANDOM play option. Thanks P.S. I know this is somewhat off-topic, but I wonder if Orange Bike Laps tried integrating Grooveshark on this app or not. zzvelik's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10205 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97467 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Any possibility for 24/96 support on the SB3?
I had downloaded a sample of Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 4 in D Major KV 218 Allegro in the 24BIT/96kHz FLAC format a few months ago and had totally forgotten about how good it sounded. For reference, the site where I downloaded is: www.2l.no/hires/index.htm That site's server isn't up at the moment, here's the cache version: http://74.125.155.132/search?q=cache:Wky_snLrI1MJ:www.2l.no/hires/index.html+mozart's+Violin+Concerto+No.+4+in+D+Major+KV+218+Allegro+24/96cd=2hl=enct=clnkgl=us I replayed it a few minutes ago on the latest firmware and here's what it says under more info: Bitrate: 2593kbps VRB (Converted to 705.6kbps ABR). So, does this mean that the SB3 actually supports 24BIT/96kHz format to a degree, but has to compress the bitrate? Just asking since I'm not sure how the Touch will compare in overall sound quality vs a digitally modded SB3 with an upgraded power supply. -- zzvelik zzvelik's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10205 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=72414 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Is Slimserver firmware version 7.0 compatible with any of the Nokia tablets running OS2008? If so, do you just enter your IP address on the Nokia browser followed by /Nokia770? 2. Can the Nokia N800 be used as a remote control device for Rhapsody in the same manner as the Sonos Controller? I don't mean to be redundant, but I did a lot of searching didn't figure it out yet. If there is a set of instructions somewhere, I'd appreciate a link. I thought I had typed the right URL last night, but I may have gotten the last 9000 wrong. In any case, I can see what everyone was talking about. I clicked on the Radio icon, but there was no Rhapsody client there. I should note that Rhapsody was not the same place in the Squeezebox menu after the recent firmware upgrade, so maybe it may have changed under the Nokia skin as well? I'll do some surfing on it and see if I could locate it. I just received a Nokia N800 two days ago. First thing I did was an upgrade to OS2008. I was eager to use it with the SB3, particularly Rhapsody (thinking I could do something like the Sonos remote). I read that you have to type in your IP address followed by Nokia770 to get your Nokia device synced with the SB3, but I had no such luck. I then realized that I had just upgraded the Slimserver firmware to version 7. Couple that with Nokia's OS2008 I wonder if I did too much upgrading for my own good. Is any of this making sense this late at night? ;-) Thanks in advance for any responses. -- zzvelik zzvelik's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10205 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19369 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] humble feature request for sb
chaotic33, I recently got a SB3 and hooked it up directly to my Primare SPA21 and so far I can't tell the difference in sound compared to my Primare CD player. I'd like to know if you tried using an external DAC to see how it compares to hooking it up directly to the SPA21? BTW, I'm also experiencing the same delay problems, but I'm not well versed in computer programming to add a silence file to the music folders that I normally listen to. Thanks, Z chaotic33;143637 Wrote: If someone else has this problem: I solved it like this:I recorded 2 seconds of silence in sound recorder and called it silence.wav. I put this file in the root of my music collection, say '\\avpc\music\silence.wav' I then made a little delphi program that iterates through all folders and subfolders and inserts this filename at the top of every m3u file (if not already present) that it encounters. -- zzvelik zzvelik's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10205 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28359 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
