Re: [slim] Mip: R.i.p?
Does anyone know how to fool the Mac version of MusicIP into doing local analysis? Under Options > Server I've unticked the "Connect to server" box but when I select "Start Analysis" MusicIP comes up with a dialogue box saying "OK to sync? I need to synchronise with the MusicIP server" with Yes and No options. If I select "Yes", I get "Unable to establish connection" and "No" doesn't do anything. I've put music.predixis.com localhost in the Mac /private/etc/hosts file but this didn't seem to do anything. mikerob's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=835 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100790 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Mip: R.i.p?
I haven't analyzed any new files in the past month, but I was under the impression that the server has been offline for a while now, and all analysis happens locally now.. just means it's slower, but it doesn't *not* work for me. 1 Touch 2 Receivers 1 Controller 1 Radio FredFredrickson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16584 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100790 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Also take a look in the tags for non-standard special characters, new files may have www addresses, or tags with http:// linking to the artists site, anything which isnt a normal A-Z alphanumeric character seems to stop MIP analysing tracks. www.spicefly.com - ** Spicefly SugarCube ** - A hassle free acoustic journey through your music library using MusicIP. Alternatively it could be corruption of the cache lib file, so delete or rename it and start MIP again which will make it start from scratch. If you archived the analysis into the files it will rebuild the database pretty quickly. (If you havent used archived analysis, then right click on your music files and select it before touching the cache file, unless you like a long wait :) ) www.spicefly.com - ** Spicefly SugarCube ** - A hassle free acoustic journey through your music library using MusicIP. I created an entry in the hosts file as you suggested, but all I get when in the MIP GUI and select "Start Analysis" is "Unanalyzable" for the new tracks. Re: [slim] Mip: R.i.p?
I was able to get the GUI (MusicIP Mixer) working again after i created a localhost (127.0.0.1) entry for music.predixis.com in my W7 hosts file. After scanning the songs, the fingerprint is going to be stored in the files and the headless version (which is used as backend for my squeeze stuff) is then able to pick up the imprinted tracks. I was not able to get genpuid running again using this method. schiegl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6654 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100790 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Mip: R.i.p?
I was able to analyze and fingerprint tracks last night . I haven't been able to connect to the server for some weeks now but MIP seems to archive the files locally somehow Logitech Media Server Version: 7.8.0 - 1385715836 @ Fri Nov 29 02:23:56 PST 2013 Operating system: Debian - EN - utf8 Platform Architecture: x86_64-linux Perl Version: 5.14.2 - x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.34_01 (sqlite 3.7.7.1) One SB Touch connected by ethernet - Denon AVR -1912 Receiver, Paradigm 4.1 speakers One SB Boom wireless One SB Radio wireless SlimChances's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=165 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100790 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
[slim] Mip: R.i.p?
I tried analyzing some new tracks I added to my SB library today via MusicIP and, as other folks have mentioned in the last few weeks, it cannot connect to the server. I tried both the GUI and the headless browser-based methods (I'm using Windows 7). So, does this mean that it's really the end of the road for MusicIP? I sure hope not, it's one the most often used plug-ins for me...so it ain't so :( dbinder101's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36997 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100790 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
