With jive_7.01_r2448.bin I had no success updating from 7.0 version, even trying different methods: 1) upgrade via controller (standard procedure) 2) upgrade via SqueezeNetwork 3) upgrade via SD-Card (using jive_7.01_r2448.bin) Today I installed 7.0.2-20457. Controller asked for an update which did#t get installed after download (same result as before with r2448) I copied jive_7.0.1_r2502M.bin manually to the SD Card. Renamed it to jive.bin and installed this manually Now the controler installed this completely and re-started. Hey.. this is now working as supposed to !! Hi Nigel Thx for the info ... I'm currently trying it for the 3x time today (Always via Squeezenetwork with same Result: "Update will be checked" and later the notice: " Failure.. I had exactly the same problem - the update got stuck at 0%. I tried the update twice and then decided to email slim support. To make sure I noted the messages correctly I tried to do the update once more. This time it all went OK (though it did get stuck at 30% for a while). This helped in so far that I don't get the message about new software versions any more On my Windows Vista is SqueezeCenter-Version: 7.0.1 - 19705 installed. Right now my Duet is working fine with the old version 7.0 2097. If there is no other suggestion, I will wait for a new release and if this fails I will request hotline support. Then suggests a direct contact with support as you seems to have done everything you can do ? Sorry to hear about your troubles. I think theres an "version" file of some kind that can be edited I have a vague recollection of such a tread ? I maybe totally wrong to I'm no expert just a user that likes this forum . With going back you get the message that there is an update available ... no sense to continue - tried that many times Think I have to wait until 7.1 is stable..? Thats a good idea i did that once, the other solution is to use an SD card, search this forum for it. However, I did catch a solution, which might work for you as well: Try to connect to SqueezeNetwork, and now again try the update process. For me it did do the trick. [slim] Problems with update to 7.01 for DUET
I have one Squeezebox and one Duet. Really enjoy those great devices which really free my music. Today I did the update of 7.0.1 and had no problem with the Squeezebox. The Duet found a new version and downloading worked fine but then Duet got stuck. After a while (more than ten minutes I pressed the home button and got the message "There was a problem upgrading this remote, please try again or contact support". I de-installed SqueezeCenter and re-installed. Received same result. The Firmware for Squeezeboy is 88, for Duet 23 The Duet shows still Version 7.0r2097 and suggest to do the update (which won't work to get installed H E L P !
