Thanks for the update. I couldn't get it to start, no matter how many reboots. Then again, I have a fresh system that I just reformatted so it couldn't be anything that was left from an old uninstall or something. At any rate, I was able to get the 6.3 maintenance release to work - I just don't know if it is officially supported. *shrugs* -- EnochLight EnochLight's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3392 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24014 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I've taken a look over both of those pages but it's not quite what I'm seeing . . . my iTunes library has about 10 playlists in it but SlimServer doesn't seem to be seeing any of them - I have no playlists showing on the Squeezebox or on the web interface (as opposed to people having empty playlists) I've tried several settings on the iTunes page on the Server settings where you can set the location of the Library.xml file or the location on the music itself but no joy from any of them. -- jodrell jodrell's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4425 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23886 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I had a similar issue. I deleted the .pref file and reinstalled 6.2.1 which still works. for problems playing files, go into server settings-debugging. check d_source, click change click the link at the end of the text at the top to open a browser window for the log. try playing the file. The log will show how the server is trying to play the file, whether it is native playback (command: -) or some combination of flac/lame, etc. It will also show any errors when reading the file contents. feel free to post sections of that log here if it doesn't seem clear to you. -kdf ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Well, I`ve tried lots of things to get to the root of the problem with 6.2.2, and have given up meantime. Unfortunately whereas previously if I reverted to the older version of slimserver (6.02) all of my SB`s would play all required files, now my 3 SB1`s will still not play flac files!
