Do you use Kodi (formerly known as XBMC) media center? If so then you can use the Xsqueeze addon which looks pretty nice and includes a squeezelite player: 18503 It will work on both the raspberry pi as well as windows machines. dose there have to be a reason why i don't like using a web interface? the felling of the interface. I see - by alternative players you mean a complete linux package for the RPi (rather than just a player program). I tend to prefer to install the components I like, rather than hoping to find a complete package that would happen to have everything just right. that is why i ask if anyone know of this or if i have to look around the web looking for different programs that i like and see if they work together. A finished os is rel time updated, not needing to look into a different program to see what is playing, what is happening and so on. it feels complete and not patched. Hi, I have bin testing around with jivelite on a raspberry pi. I'm not super fond of it. It look's and feels a little old, lagging and not up to speed.. I have bin looking around to find a player software that has a squeezelite player incorporated into a gui. Ether for a windows machine or even better, for a raspberry pi.
