Re: [slim] scanner.exe crash, memory could not be written
Cheers Siduhe, Tried what you suggested, removed the playlist setting, added the file extensions to F-secure. I also tried removing use itunes setting and setting the music folder to the directory I wished to be scanned. My Music isn't on a network drive. I have a PCI SATA drive card and when I added it, the bios just assigned H: to it and I never changed it. I monitiored scanner the task manager and it tick's over nicely at 54,000K then all of a sudden it ramps up to 435,000k then crashes. In the log it always ends on the same album 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6992 -- VA postcheck for album 'Futuresex/Lovesounds' (id: [107]). I removed this album from the folder and it still seems to be failing at the same point with the same album that no longer exists in the directory. confused!!! any more idea's 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6370 --- Album has composite artist '205' 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6398 --- Album has composite artist '205' 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6423 --- Album has composite artist '205' 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6444 -- VA postcheck for album 'Eyes Open' (id: [106]) 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6630 --- Album has composite artist '208' 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6663 --- Album has composite artist '208' 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6695 --- Album has composite artist '208' 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6724 --- Album has composite artist '208' 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6782 --- Album has composite artist '208' 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6810 --- Album has composite artist '208' 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6841 --- Album has composite artist '208' 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6870 --- Album has composite artist '208' 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6898 --- Album has composite artist '208' 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6928 --- Album has composite artist '208' 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6973 --- Album has composite artist '208' 2007-01-26 14:07:57.6992 -- VA postcheck for album 'Futuresex/Lovesounds' (id: [107]) 2007-01-26 14:07:57.7371 Executing SQL file H:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\SQL\mysql\schema_optimize.sql 2007-01-26 14:07:59.3742 forceCommit: syncing to the database. -- Monkeyboy1 Monkeyboy1's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9606 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32148 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] scanner.exe crash, memory could not be written
thank you for your advice but i don't have any playlist or shortcuts as far as I'm aware. any ideas other than a lot of removing files from folders, rescanning then replacing until i find the fault -- Monkeyboy1 Monkeyboy1's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9606 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32148 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] scanner.exe crash, memory could not be written
If you don't have playlists or shortcuts - do you need the folder setting for Playlists entered into Slimserver ? [H:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Music\My Playlists] I would start by deleting this entry if you don't need it. It also looks like a networked drive ? Does Slimserver definitely have permission to read the H:\drive files ? Also you mention you're using Itunes - are you just using Use Itunes and leaving the Music Folder blank, or are you trying to sync the two by also adding a Music Folder entry ? You may also need to configure F-Secure to ignore *.myi and *.myd files - some onaccess virus scanners like McAfee take exception to the SQL scanning process which they consider suspicious, which crashes the scan. I think in F-Secure it is done by adding a rule. -- Siduhe Siduhe's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=723 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32148 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
