Short answer is *No*. You don't need to be connected to the internet, but you *do need to be connected* to your local network. You access it via MAIN PAGE > EXTRAS > BOOTCODES > set WAIT FOR USB to between 5 and 10. and that solved my problem of the USB drive not being mounted before LMS started. I don't keep my player connected to the internet since i always listing to my music on my usb flash drive. You don't connect players to the internet. I seriously don't understand what you're trying to do, what you're actually doing, and what the problem is. Back when i connected the player to the internet to be access online, i when to the LMS page and restart the LMS to load up on the player and also i click the autostart and save. You don't have to start LMS to turn on a player. Ok, on here Install your own LIRC configuration file(s) Default installation only supports Logitech Squeezebox remote. If you are using another remote controller you need to supply your own configuration file(s). To use your own configuration file(s): Copy the file(s) either: via ssh to the /tmp directory, or to an attached USB flash drive. Press the [Custom] button and your configuration file(s) will be copied and used by pCP. Re: [slim] Install Picore player
The USB drive needs to be accessible by LMS. If your pCP installation is where you installed LMS then you need to go back to the LMS tab in the pCP web interface and check to see what it shows in the "Pick from the following detected USB disks to mount" section. Do you see your disk listed and have you "Enabled" it? Then you need to tell LMS about it - from the LMS web interface - Settings/Basic Settings/Media Folders/Browse and then tell it to Rescan.
