Re: [Doudoulinux-dev] Work copy of our website
Our website has now switched to the static Html pages. You're all invited to check that your pages are still available. We did a quick test with Elisa and everything looks good, but we did not test everything of course. If you now want to reach our online edition interface, Spip, it's now located at: http://www.doudoulinux.org/spip/ Please note that your changes on Spip won't be published on the official website until the site snapshot is updated (ie. Html pages are created from Spip pages again). I plan to register a daily task to make this snapshot automatically but it won't go online automatically before May I think. I'll do this manually in the meantime. Cheers, JM. I've just fixed RSS links in static pages in order to be sure that their file name is persistent across site snapshotting. I also wrote a small Php script that redirects the visitor to its language if it set in his browser, when visiting the home page. So I think we're ready to go online with static copies. Currently it still available in test/: http://www.doudoulinux.org/test/ I find it faster than the Spip site, so this should improve our visitor experience. We still need to write a script to “backport” news from Spip when the documentation is under heavy work and snapshots are then frozen (updates for the coming release). I'm planning to migrate to the static version by the end of the week-end. All the best, JM. ___ Doudoulinux-dev mailing list Doudoulinux-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/doudoulinux-dev ___ Doudoulinux-dev mailing list Doudoulinux-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/doudoulinux-dev

Re: [Doudoulinux-dev] Wireframe of website
Thank you, Elisa. For me it looks a bit strange in comparison with everything I saw before. Why? 1. content areas do not divided into the most important and less important 2. it's not clear which audience the site is aimed at 3. no header 4. no footer 5. no 2nd level menu 6. no search 7. no sitemap 8. 2 copies of main menu (up and down) If we talk about something like http://www.microsoft.com/ru/ru/isv/ it may make sense. But we miss a wireframes of 3rd level and lowest level/content pages (http://www.microsoft.com/ru/ru/isv/promotion/royalty.aspx). Would you please prepare it? Thank you. Would you please send it to me as an image? Thank you. The wireframe is here. http://www.doudoulinux.org/share/file.php?h=R3e9fc45b857a321a1318922bfbee2d6 8 A wireframe for me is just the organisation (skeletal, sctucture) of the content of the new website. In Irc i have speak with JM and we think that the menu Parents will be delete. The About page and Team page will be merge. The Shop will not appear soon The page Children too (too soon). So i make this wireframe to make the site open for further development of DDL. I think this wireframe is important to explain the guideline on the future contest :) Comments are welcome !
