[drakelist] TR4 Schematic
Hello to the group, If anyone needs a readable schematic of the TR4 I have three spare 11 x 17's. You almost hate to fold them. Thanks to Roger at R and L in Cincinnati. They had a unit with a manual. (no affiliation) In the manual was one unusual piece of information and a schematic, unusual to me anyway, a Drake model FF-1 Fixed Frequency Adapter which mounts under the TR-4 and plugs into the VFO connector. In all of my time wandering around flea markets (mainly Dayton) I had never seen nor heard of one. Re: [drakelist] TR4 Schematic
Carl, Yes, the FF-1 is collectable.? I've seen them sell for over $500 on the Internet.? Then again, I've seen RV-75s sell for $800-900 or more.? Somebody has a lot of money... 73, Evan -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tue, 24 Jul 2007 8:19 am Subject: [drakelist] TR4 Schematic Hello to the group, If anyone needs a readable schematic of the TR4 I have three spare 11 x 17's. Gary Poland [EMAIL PROTECTED] made an utterance to the drakelist gang -- Carl, A TR-4 that I owned in 1977 had a FF-1 installed. I think it was used at one time by a Novice since crystal controled was required. 73, Gary W8PU http://home.cinci.rr.com/w8pu -- Submissions:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe:[EMAIL PROTECTED] - unsubscribe drakelist in body Hopelessly Lost:[EMAIL PROTECTED] - help in body of message Zerobeat Web Page: www.zerobeat.net - sponsored by www.tlchost.net --
Re: [drakelist] TR4 Schematic
Jim Pruitt [EMAIL PROTECTED] made an utterance to the drakelist gang -- The FF-1 was the fixed frequency adapter for the 4 line. As Gary said, it was for novices back in the 60's and 70's when fixed frequency crystal control with 75 watts or less input power was required for novice class license holders. W2ENY has the schematic on his web site at http://www.geocities.com/w2eny/drake/ff1.pdf if you are interested. Thank you.
