Ted -

Not sure about your situation, but the Drake two pin connector can fit
either way.  One pin is ground, the other is hot.  Plugged in one way,
the amp will be keyed continuously.  Reverse the plug and it should work
fine.

Drake items for sale:

Drake TV-3300-LP Low Pass Filter
This is a modern low pass filter to go between your transmitter
and antenna, and has been optimized to have more attenuation
in the 40 MHz region, where many TVs have their IF. It is good
for 1000 Watts "average" according to the manual, and has
over 80 db attenuation at 41 MHz. This one looks great, and
includes the paper work. $30

Drake TV-5200-LP
This is the more modern version of the Drake TV-1000 Low Pass
Filter. This is the filter that may also be used on the low
end of six meters, as well as HF. It is good for 1000 Watts
average below 30 MHz, and about 200 W up to 52 MHz. It works
fine, and is in very nice shape. $35

Case for Drake TR-33 C
This is the black case that fits the Drake TR-33 C, and has
cutouts in the back for antenna, power, etc.  It includes
the shoulder strap, and is in good shape.  $12

Case for Drake TR-22
As above, but for the TR-22. No shoulder strap. $10

3 pin mic plug for TR-22
This is the small 3 pin mic plug that fits the Drake TR-22
mic jack.  It is much smaller than most of the mic connectors.
I thought these were completely gone, but one appeared from
a silent key.  This one has been used, but should still be
usable some more.  $10

Communications Speaker
This 4 inch square speaker is optimized for communications
frequencies (300 to 3000 Hz). It is in a black enclosure,
and is an 8 ohm speaker. It has a cord with a 1/8 inch
(3.5 mm) mono plug on the end.
This one works fine and looks OK also. $15

Microphones:

All of these microphones have been tested and work well.

Shure 401 B, Low Z Hand Microphone
This mic has characteristics similar the the Shure 444
Desk Mic, but this one is a hand mic. It is a controlled
magnetic mic, with frequency response tailored for voice
communications. It has a rugged case, and a heavy duty

[Drakelist] FS MN 2700

2010-04-18 Thread Dennis Kippa
I have a nice working MN 2700 for sale.  It was sold to me as a near perfect
tuner.  Well it was not what they said it was.  The trim around the meter was
cracked and broken and that has been repaired.  The paint is good and front
panel looks good other than the trim.  It has the balun also.  I used it on 75
meters with my Drake station. You can see a photo of the setup[ on
www.myhamshack.com/n5dpk.  Asking 225.00 shipped to lower 48.

[Drakelist] MN-4C Switch Levers

2010-04-18 Thread Curt
I'm wondering if there is a source for the plastic handles that press onto
the two capacitance switch levers on this tuner. Mine works fine, but the
handles are missing.

Mike -

Sounds like the problem is in the AVC circuit and the S-Meter is just
responding appropriately.

Something dragging the AVC line down, leaky cap?

on strong signals, the s-meter deflects backwards! Yup! goes down

got to be something in the balance circuit that's upsetting things.

If the amp keys immediatly when you plug it in, reverse it. That's all there is
to it.

Or you COULD use an ohmmeter to find out which side of each end is common
(ground).

Johnson Hi Z Hand Microphone
This high impedance hand mic is a gray color, with the
Johnson logo with the Viking on it. It has a PTT switch and
coiled cord, and produces a nice pattern on the scope. It

shines! It presently has a 1/4 inch stereo plug on it,
which of course can be changed. $30
