First don't use GPS-A. Other DSTAR radios won't be able to see you location. Then turn on RMC and GCA ONLY in the dv settings Make sure GPS TX mode is set to GPS, the GPS Auto TX Timer is set to off and the DV DATA TX is set to PTT Go to http://www.aprs-is.net/DPRSCalc.aspx, fill in the blanks and copy the Input into TX Message C1: into your gps message in your radio. It should work! You can go to http://aprs.fi/ to see if you are being seen. they are parameters in the GPS sentence that need to be on. Yes, I think Peter showed where I have something wrong. I had put my call in the DPRS calculator. I did not realize that I needed to put in the my call from the radio. I have KD5DZU M in the radio. This is most likely the issue. I will make the change shortly and see if that fixes it. I was sure that I had something misconfigured.
