Hello Tom,
If you go to File | Preferences | Rep/Lab
click on Default Report Format, and select the one you need.
Save Changes and Exit.
You will have what you want.

[Dx4win] Printing On QSLs with HP 4000?

2002-05-22 Thread Larry Gauthier
Eric,

I redesigned my QSL cards so that I could print directly from DX4WIN onto
QSL cards, rather than printing to Avery 5160 labels and then doing the
peel-and-stick routine . My printer is an HP 4550N -- not sure what a
4000 is but perhaps they would use similar label definitions?

I use the "custom2" label size and a definition that took quite a bit of
finagling but finally got it to work properly in either landscape mode or
portrait mode on the card. Landscape mode is better because then the QSO
info, and the station callsign, is printed at the top of the card... which
is where buro managers like to see it. This definition prints as may as 12
QSOs on one card, so if you work a DXpedition on many bands/modes you can
(probably) get all the QSOs on one card. If you (or anybody) wants the
specifics of the label layout I'd be happy to share off-line - send me an
e-mail.

The problem I have is that there is a bug in DX4WIN 5.03 in which only the
first landscape label prints properly. So, until Paul/Steve deliver the fix
for that problem I am still doing the peel-and-stick. I have a large run of
buro cards I need to print and I was kinda' hoping that they would rescue me
from the task...

[Dx4win] DX4WIN new users ( and old pros)

2002-05-22 Thread Steve Bookout
Hello everyone,

Another Dayton has passed, and I have survived. The DX4WIN crew and I went
real easy on the partying after hours and it made a big difference on how
we felt at the end of the weekend. 5:30 AM,or so, comes real fast when you
just went to bed a 1:00 AM.

For those who purchased DX4WIN at Dayton and found the reflector, I would
like to say 'thank you' and welcome to the group.

The reflector is intended to be used by those interested in DX4WIN, for non
official DX4WIN related discussions. Paul, being the moderator, may have
different requirements, but all I ask of you is that you all 'play
nice-nice' with each other. If you have a real issue with someone take it
to private emails, not the reflector. I have no wish to see this valuable
resource turn into the squabbling mess some of the other reflectors have
become.
FYI, as best as I can guess, there are about 1,000 users subscribed, but
the number varies day to day, so there can be a lot of opinions and help
available here.

If you want to contact me regarding questions or other support issues
concerning DX4WIN, then Email me directly, NOT 'Dear Steve, via the
reflector'. I only check the reflector when and if I have a break from all
the directly addressed messages and phone calls. The OFFICIAL SUPPORT
Email address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] Do not wait until you become
frustrated before you contact me. You don't like being frustrated and I
don't like dealing with frustrated people, although I can understand
frustration. All I do ask is that you try to find the answer yourself
first, either by using the 'F1' key in the program or by reading the users
guide, which all of you either purchased or printed, right?

If you have comments you would like to share with the world outside of the
reflector, I invite you to post them on eHam's products review page at
http://www.eham.net/reviews/products/27. I do hope they are positive, but
all are OK.

If I can be of help, please contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

[Dx4win] Questions

2002-05-22 Thread Eric Wilson
Hi,

I am a new user as of Dayton where I purchased the program.

1. Can someone confirm the radio settings for the Kenwood TS 2000, I
think I have it set up correctly but I want to make sure.

2. What is the best compatible economical printer to get for printing
out the lables and summeries?

Thanks,

Eric N4HGZ

[Dx4win] Questions

2002-05-22 Thread <[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Kurt W. Zimmerman)
I can only answer number 2. I use an HP Laser Jet 6L with very good
results. I use the 8160 labels which measure 1" x 2 5/8". You get 30
labels per page.

Good luck.

[Dx4win] List of shortcut Keys

Does anyone have a listing of Shortcut keys and their descriptions, I am
starting to make one myself.

Example: ALT K CW Keyboard

[Dx4win] QRZ V19, DX4W503 and Windows XP

2002-05-22 Thread <[EMAIL PROTECTED] (John F. Samuels)
Thanks for the comments, but no one got the point. The new QRZ disk V19 =
doesn't work under DX4WIN. DX4WIN under Windows XP works fine.

[Dx4win] Questions

2002-05-22 Thread Dave Jaksa
Eric,

Here is the radio setup I have been using with my TS-2000.

9600 Baud
Poll Rate 500ms
Max Tries 6
RTS High

It was also necessary to modify the Kenwood 2000.rig file found in the
DX4WIN RADIOS subdirectory. The changes were necessary in order to get the
program to capture spots above 10 meters and to default to 9600 Baud. Here
are the 3 lines to modify:

FLOW= 5.00E+0001
FHIGH= 4.70E+0005
BAUD=9600

If your TS-2000 has the 1.2 GHz module you should set FHIGH accordingly.

Let me know if you want the modified file and I will send it direct to your
e-mail address.

As for the printer, labels work well on both my obsolete Epson laser and HP
895Cse DeskJet. However, neither works printing directly to QSL cards in
the landscape mode because of a program bug.

73,
Dave, W0VX

[Dx4win] Imported Time Offset

2002-05-22 Thread Pete Stafford
This has undoubtedly been covered earlier, but I found an old CT9 bin file
that I had never imported into DX4WIN. This dates from Oct 2000. When I
attempt to import into v5.03, it subtracts 7 hours from each QSO.
Fortunately I had saved the log before importing (I feel so smart...) so I
could un-import.

Anyone know how to resolve this?

I moved the harddrive one to the root. Still didn't work in DX4WIN. Kept

it was blank -- then it worked! My Buckmaster CD requires c:\.

Thanks much, 73, John

[Dx4win] SHORTCUT KEYS

2002-05-22 Thread Terry Mitchell
Don't forget to make a list of your CW Keyboard function keys.
I keep the CW keyboard window shrunk pretty small and I am unable to see
what is in the tiny little boxes.
I only had to hit the wrong key 3 or 4 times in a pile-up ... before I
discovered the idea of a list of the CW function key memories.
