[Dx4win] Radio Switching Broken in 7.02 {Scanned}
Hi Randy, I just checked it with my setup, a DXDoubler with radio selection off the parallel port and 2 756Pro's, and it seems to work fine here. With the DXD in auto, selecting radio 1 in DX4win causes the left radio to be selected for logging and the radio 1 lights in the DXD to light. Selecting radio 2 in Dx4win selects the right radio for logging and the radio 2 lights in the DXD to light. Could you have reversed the comport numbers when you setup the preferences in Dx4win?? 73 Rick, N6ND At 09:30 PM 6/6/2006 -0500, Randy Farmer wrote: Am I really the only person who has noticed that the LPT radio switching bit is inverted in 7.02? Surely there's at least one other person who uses DX4WIN and switches radios through an industry standard CT-type LPT control. I would sure like some support out there for trying to get this fixed. With all the high-power software control, it's a major pain to have to manually toggle two switches on my DX Doubler to switch radios. Help me out here. 73... [Dx4win] Wish List - More Radios
Dear All, My real big wish for DX4WIN would be for it to be able to accommodate more than two radios. The change from 1 to 2 radios, a little while ago, was great. Can it now be written to allow for 3 or 4 radios?? Would be of great interest and save so much unplugging and what have you. Is it being considered?? Or should I say can it be done?? 73's de Tony G8DQZ
[Dx4win] QSL card wastage
Well I have to say that I am very disappointed about the move backwards in the latest version of DX4WIN. One of it's strongest points was the excellent QSL card routine. I have been printing directly to cards for several years now and it has always been so easy. Now the QSLMethod, QSL Manager and Group are defaulted exactly the way I don t want them. I just wasted another 12 QSL cards because DX4WIN no longer remembers my last settings on these, Why? It always worked fine in all of the older versions. PLEASE, please put it back the way it was. I have over 250,000 QSOs in my log and I do a lot of QSLing. 5B4AGC From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jun 7 13:13:00 2006 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Anders Janis SM4RNA) Date: Wed Jun 7 13:19:44 2006 Subject: [Dx4win] Re: Re:vichw11.sys --- Now after re-install References: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message-ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have now done a coplete re-install of Win XP PRO x64. You have to be in administrator mode to run the program. The driver needs to be installed for generating CW, and the program attempts to check for it during startup, unsuccessfully if you're not an administrator. I (and others) have requested a program change to let Dx4Win run without CW support if the driver's presence can't be verified, but the authors haven't responded. There are two main reasons that I think the change should be made: 1) The computer is more open to external attacks (hackers) in admin mode. 2) If you're just a user of the computer, and not able to set admin authority (my situation at the work QTH), you can't run the program. -Ron N9QQK Hi! .Have just installed Win XP Pro x64 and DX4Win 7.02.15. [Dx4win] QSL card wastage
I recently posted the following. Is it part of the same problem? 73, Joe I have been having problem with v. 7.02 and QSL labels. When I set the label parameters in Databases/Labels, some of the conditions will not stay set. Specifically, if I uncheck COMMERCIAL and check LINES and set the callsign font to bold and then save those conditions and then reopen Databases/Labels, they've returned to checked, unchecked and regular respectively. In addition, when I include %% in the greeting in order to print the group name, the label is printed with actual %% and not the group name. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I don't remember having these problems with v. 6.xx. 73, Joe K2XX George wrote: Well I have to say that I am very disappointed about the move backwards in the latest version of DX4WIN. [Dx4win] Wish List - More Radios
Hi Tony. I'd like this as well. In the mean time, if you have a couple of radios that are the same (like two FT1000MPs in an SO2R configuration, for example) you can use a 9-pin A/B switch box. A cheap and pretty easy solution to switching between a couple of similar radios. You may have thought of this already, or don't have any matching radios, but though I would throw that out there. - Scott KA9FOX At 09:13 AM 6/7/2006 +0100, Tony Lord wrote: Dear All, My real big wish for DX4WIN would be for it to be able to accommodate more than two radios.
