[Dx4win] DX4WIN 2nd MMTTY Window?

2011-02-04 Thread Steve GW4BLE
Is it possible to (somehow?) open a 2nd MMTTY window with DX4WIN, such that
the B-VFO can be used to simultaneously monitor another frequency (think:
split frequency working on RTTY).

Using 8.04, FTDX5000MP microHAM MK2R+

Thanks

 Ok Jim,

You do need to install the Unzip utility to get things to work right
 with the new batch file.

 Hi Wayne,

I'm not sure those built-in utilities will work. You can try NOT
installing UnZIP, let me know if it works or not. I'd rather make use
of the one I specified, since I know the right syntax, and I know it's
 guaranteed to work.

2011-02-04 Thread Kostas Stamatis
Steve you can open a separate mmtty window outside dx4win.
I have installed another mmtty copy named mmttyrightchannel.
So i have chosen the right shannel there and when i open this mmtty, it
decodes the right channel. It is not needed to have it running isnide
dx4win. Just arrange dx4win windows to have space on your screen for the
second mmtty.

[Dx4win] Window COUNTRY problems

2011-02-04 Thread Luis Teixeira
My 8.04 version has worked with NO problems.until today.

I had a crash in my PC and then when trying to open the COUNTRY window, this
message came along:

ERROR

An exception occurred

Fixed column count must be less than column count

Also I have all spots in grey colour..is this due to problem with country
window not showing properly?

Please how can I solve this?

Thanks!

[Dx4win] Upgrade to 8.05

2011-02-04 Thread James G. Dean
For Guy, ON4AOI and others:

I have downloaded DX4WIN 8.05 from Guy's website. I could not get it from
the DX4WIN website. Is there a reason for this, such as still being in Beta
testing?

I have found that 8.05 does not overwrite the existing DX4WIN as other
updates did. Is there a reason for this?

Finally, I see that I would have to type in all my preferences, configuration,
etc. Is there any way I can import from 9.04 and if so which folders and or
files? Can folders even be imported, or is that dangerous? I looked at the
documentation I have which goes back before version 7 and I am not sure
what to do now.

Any help appreciated.

[Dx4win] Radio Control issues

2011-02-04 Thread N0KK,Kirk
I upgrade to 8.04 I also switched PC's.

Pulled all ini files etc to new PC all is working well...rotor controls,
internet etc. Where I'm running into conflict is in the radio control.

Let me preface this by saying the rig control is working as it should in
all other programs I use. Writelog, MMTTY..etc

What is happening is this...WHILE I tune the radios frequency knob...The
cursor blinks and freq reads as it should. If I STOP tuning..cursor
stops blinking and radio times out.

I made NO changes to the rig settings and as a stated I used the ini
file from my other pc.

Anyone with some thoughts?

Hi Jim.

The updates never overwrite the previous version.

Jim, AD1C, has the procedure explained here:
http://dx4win.ad1c.us/appnotes/upgrade.htm

Took me about 5 minutes. Only outstanding issues were to relocate the
main and logging window and setup the map options again.

My preferences under the radio tab are as follows. (It is what they have
been for years)

Type: ICOM 756 PRO III
Address: 6E
Baud: 9600
Both the default boxes are checked. Though this has no effect on operation
Com port settings are correct. Radio 1 is com 3, radio 2 is com 7.
Poll rate is currently at 5000ms. I usually keep it at 1000ms though.
Max tries is 5
DTR is set to high.
Transverter offset is 0 Band none

Other than the COM settings, I have both radios set the same for ease of
operation between programs and has worked flawlessly for several years.
