[Dx4win] LOTW DXCC QSL Download issue
There is an important feature in LOTW DXCC Award called DXCC QSL Download. In a ADIF format you can download the Credit Matrix details of the Awarded Credits. Why don't use it to check our DXCC application status Import ADIF and Check DXCC as CONFIRMED will be the solution. Hi to all. On LOTW site, in the Award Account Menu, you can select the DXCC QSL Download entry and you'll receive an ADIF file in which you can find all QSOs you have submitted and confirmed (applied) for DXCC. It will be a nice tools for DX4WIN to manage this file to update the DXCC credits. [Dx4win] LOTW score automation issue... and other stuffs
Hi to all. I'm a LOTW user since version 5. I think this is the simpliest and powerfull dx logging program on the air. But I had to ask a pretty *new* feature: LOTW let you download the list of QSOs that are used for claim the score... Can you import that file using their proprietary fields to update the award status flags (confirmed, submitted, checked)? We have a nice help from AD1C tool to manage DXCC scores... but the DXCC QSL Download https://lotw.arrl.org/lotwuser/logbook/qslcards.php?ac_acct=1 is a useful Other thing about online callbook... they all have XML direct access... why DX4WIN don't interface XML directly??? I think there are more OMs internet connected then CD callbook users... I wait to see dx4win version number 9 with new improvement and features. For example, IOTA EU003 consists of these islands: Formigas islands Santa Maria Sao Miguel When you go to a QSO where the IOTA is EU003, you can further select one of those three island names in the IOTA Island field. An IOTA application must include both the IOTA reference (group) number, as well as the actual island name (from the QSL card). [Dx4win] Anybody using FT1000MP Mark V?
Yes, I'm using the same rtx and I have the same problem. And I am monitoring your question with big interest because I have NOT found any way to manage the info antenna per band in the DX4WIN Radio features. A pray: Please, OM that read the messages and don't answer... Please give us a way to keep the right antenna so we never burn our beloved RTX and tuners! [Dx4win] 6.04 little bug (I think!)
I've upgraded from 6.03 to 6.04 and everything is ok (country exceptions are real, managers pre-loaded from my old file are ok...). Only one bug: all the qsl method are set to ignore... I've tried twice but always ignore method for all qso. Any suggest? -- 73s de Leo, IZ5FSA mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.ariscandicci.it telnet://iz5fsa.homedns.org:7300 From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jan 23 06:12:53 2005 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (PA2R via Muurkrant) Date: Sun Jan 23 06:18:26 2005 Subject: [Dx4win] DXCC report which shows upload indicators AND callsigns Message-ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hello all, I ran a report DXCC Listing for All Bands and All Modes, it returns a nice matrix overview. If I see a contact marked with a star * means it has been submitted and accepted for DXCC, if I write this report to a comma separated file by right clicking on the report I can than open that file into excel and see the report. I added auto filters to the headers of this report by selecting the top row and select the Excel functions: Data | Filter | Auto Filter from the menu. After that I selected the headers containing the bands and set them to center alignment. You can now see filters added to the header, for example select MIX and * that will hide al other entries, Show (ALL) will show all lines again for that header, be careful if you use more than one filter at the time. You can now easily filter on for example show me everything with a * and it will show the lines filtered with only a star. So far all very basic Excel tricks. The important data which is missing now from DX4WIN is the callsign which goes with the filtered line. If the * field also would include which call this report becomes very valuable. In DX4WIN if you click on the star it will jump to the actual QSL representing this star. My request is, can the QSO information (callsign) be included to the report so we do get the full export data. I think this would be a very powerful report when trying to get all you cards organized for a DXCC application. 73 Rob PA2R

I've got Windows only for DX4WIN and other little things. I've migrated quite all to Linux Box but... Why don't make a DX4LIN version? [Dx4win] DX4Win and Kachina - possible?
I've controlled my configuration just now: I have 2 rigs controlled (FT1000 and Kachina505DSP) and both works fine, but my kachina software is installed in the default directory. Last chance: control if the file name in radio databases have drive and path completed: C:\path\kc505_01.dat good luck! - Original Message - From: Larry Alkoff [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: dx4win dx4win@mailman.qth.net; iz5fsa [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, July 25, 2004 1:08 AM Subject: Re: [Dx4win] DX4Win and Kachina - possible? I actually had DX4win and Kachina working 4-5 years ago but forgot. When I went to the Radio database I saw Kachina still in there but a different directory. I can see \path\kachina\kc505_01.dat and it is being updated but DX4win doesn't seem to be seeing it. Remeber to give dx4win's radio preferences the rigth name of the file used from the kachina software DX4win is set to File | Databases | Radios | Kachina and File Interface to c:\pf\ham\Kachina\kc505_01.dat. File | Preferences | Radio | KC505DSP and com port is set to 1. I don't understand why the com port is set to 1 as Kachina should do it's interfacing with kc505_01.dat. DX4Win is not using any com ports at the moment - until I get basic control. and to set property kachina software to be used from third party programs. I have set the Kachina control program for Special | Station Settings | Interface to Other Logbooks | ON Each time I try it the Kachina pops a message saying: KC505 Com1 Cannot control radio that's all. - Original Message - From: Larry Alkoff [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: dx4win dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Saturday, July 24, 2004 9:18 PM Subject: [Dx4win] DX4Win and Kachina - possible? [Dx4win] Contest capabilities.
I know the great software contest logger I've used sometimes, but I think that the great Dx4Win capabilities of logging contest data can be improved better than a rate sheet... Simply giving a filter option and a rule you can calculate points, multipliers and the final score in batch mode, so only new code must be written and no re-writing of the barebone of the program needed. It's only an idea... that don't want to become Dx4Win better than N1MM for contest, but it can help more than the little feature of the present version. - Original Message - From: Pete Smith [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: iz5fsa [EMAIL PROTECTED]; DX4WIN Group dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Saturday, May 29, 2004 12:42 PM Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Contest capabilities. I think it would be better to use only one program then more than one (every contest have a specialized freeware software, or you must buy a new one)... I think it will be possible. With respect, Leo, I don't believe this is a good idea. To reach performance equivalent to DX4WIN's in a contest environment, the program would have to be almost totally reworked. To get an idea of what is involved in a top-quality, multi-contest contest logger, why not try N1MM Logger (www.n1mm.com). It is freeware, and is becoming very sophisticated 73, Pete N4ZR The World HF Contest Station Database was updated on April 26, 2004 2706 contest stations at www.pvrc.org/WCSD/WCSDsearch.htm
