Hi All Someone sent me the URL to download 8.05 (as I can't find it on the DX4WIN site) and I can't find the email. I have had a situation in WSJT-X where the reply to my report comes much, much later. [Dx4win] DX4WIN + WSJT-X COM Port Control
I have used DX4WIN for many years. I use WSJT-X for FT8. The two programs work for a few minutes, but when one of the programs polls the port, the other program loses connection to the port. Has anyone found a way to do what I want to accomplish? [Dx4win] TELNET connections
Perhaps someone who uses DXTELNET in conjunction with DX4WIN can help me. All of a sudden my computer (Windows 7) stated giving pop up messages indicating Windows firewall is blocking access to programs. I would select "allow", but it does not seem to matter. In DX4WIN, the DXTELNET hangs without connecting to any cluster. In N1MM, the TELNET window also hangs. The program JT-Alert launches, but then gets a "program not responding" window and then shuts down. I went into the firewall settings and enabled both private and public, for virtually every program listed. Now N1MM works, but DX4WIN/DXTELNET and JT-Alert still do not. I am reluctant to completely disable Windows firewall, and haven't tried that yet, but wonder if something else is going on? 73 Mark WA0MHJ __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN locks up on file import
I have recently updated to WSJT-X release candidate 2.2.2. Upon launching WSJT-X, I now get a pop up window indicating “Error scanning ADIF log”. “Invalid ADIF header.” I took my existing file called wsjt_log.adi (the one I am trying to import), and renamed it to temp.adi. I then made a few new contacts in FT-8 mode. I was going to try to import the new contacts, but when I re-launch WSJT-X, I get the same error message. I was beginning to think, the problem is with the new version of WSJT-X. Both ADIF files initially looked proper to me, but I see that the header is labeled “WSJT ADIF Export ”. I renamed to , and now everything is working properly. Isn’t the proper end-of-header for all ADIF versions? I am running the latest release with all updates installed on a Windows 7 platform. Perhaps if any of you are part of the WSJT user groups, this issue can be presented there. [Dx4win] where is the window
Hello everyone, I have a small problem with dx4win. At the bottom I have the dx spots window. When I click on the sign in the top right corner, the window is gone, which is normal. But after that I can't find the window anywhere. And no, it is not hidden behind other windows. Previously with Windows 7 I could find the closed window at the bottom of the taskbar, but now with Windows 10 not. I now have to close and restart the dx4win program. Is it now an error in the program or is it due to win10? 73 - ON5GM - Mark __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

[Dx4win] Something weird happened to my computer, now DX4WIN 9.0.3.1160 cluster spots not working
I had to reboot, the PC got stuck sometime this afternoon. Reboot. Launch VE7CC cluster program. It starts but says it cannot find a config file. So I create one, but it says it cannot write to that folder. But it is running...it has me logged in as WD4ELG-16, even though I changed it back to WD4ELG. And it does not have any of the cluster settings remembered that I saved. I launch DX4WIN. I try to connect to the VE7CC cluster program via LOCAL>CC User, localhost:7300 like I have done hundreds of times before, but DX4WIN does not respond to the request. It's like it is ignoring the request. I try connecting to other clusters, and those respond perfectly. [Dx4win] Rig CAT
Hello, I just recently noticed that in the QSO logging screen when I am ready to add a new QSO, the band indicates correctly what it is receiving from the radio. However when the cluster is active, and feeding very frequent spots, the band will briefly change to match the spot received. I am almost 100% sure this is not the way it has behaved in the past. If you are about to enter a QSO, the log window should only be looking at the radio CAT data for the band. I do not have focus on the spot window, and everything seems to be working as it should. I just do not ever remember the grayed out band data constantly changing as the cluster spots are received. [Dx4win] DX4WIN, IC7800 & SteppIR Controller Issue
Hello all, I have a strange problem that is driving me nuts. DX4WIN specifies baud rate of 9600 to talk to my IC7800. When I set the IC7800's CI-V baud rate to 9600, there is no communication between DX4WIN and IC7800. When I set the IC7800's CI-V baud rate to AUTO, DX4WIN and IC7800 get along just fine. But, when the IC7800's CI-V baud rate is set at 9600, the SteppIR SDA-100 control box will not autotrack the IC7800's band or frequency. If I set the 7800's CI-V baud rate to AUTO, then the SteppIR SDA-100 control box tracks properly. Re: [Dx4win] Connect Flex-3000 to DX4WIN
Well, the easiest way if you are only using DX4WIN with Power SDR and no other software apps... You need Virtual Serial Port Manager. Create a virtual port pair, any pair. Let's just pick COM10/11 DX4WIN 8.03 setup: type = Kenwood 2, Baud = 9600, COM port = 11 PSDR CAT CONTROL tab, under CAT CONTROL pick COM 10 (must be the other pair item, NOT the one selected by DX4WIN). Then click ENABLE CAT. Speed and baud do not matter. Ignore PTT control. If you are using other software apps like Skimmer, BandMaster, DXLab, JT65HF...then you will need DDUTIL to share out the Power SDR with all the other apps. [Dx4win] Weird behavior when searching log
V8.03 I do a search on today's date, and none of my contacts except 1 are coming up in the result. NOTE: this happens when I am doing a filter search in the QSO window, and typing 10/30/2011. I show 30 contacts from today in the logbook, but none when I do a search. I know the QSO is in there because I see an indication of it in the DXCC window, showing that it is an unconfirmed QSO. Then I do a search in the QSO window on a specific callsign, like ZK2X or AH0BT from today, no result. Then I do a search on the QSO field, where I have entries like "new DX" and still nothing from today's contacts. If I don't use the filter search in the QSO window and instead use FILTER->SELECTION and specify today's date, all the QSO's from today show up just fine. Is there something that changed with the filter options in the QSO window? The "25 Spot" is refreshing as expected. Why should I use a telnet cluster instead of the server? Which cluster do you (or others) recommend? The K1TTT cluster seems to have much less activity on it than DX Summitt. Thanks Mark K3MSB On Mon, Aug 15, 2011 at 7:13 AM, Mel wrote: > No, it's the 25 spots that refreshes. Re: [Dx4win] DX Spots Window
Initially got errors updating the TCP and XML files (Error #505 I think). DX4WIN was not running at the time. Ran the updater again and both installed OK. Will test this evening. Re: [Dx4win] DX Spots Window
Don't know; I see no links for it on the DX4WIN web site under the Support, Download, or Links pages. Where do I get it from?
