[e-gold-list] Rip-Off at GoldEconomy

2001-01-15 Thread Fred

What's with Gold Economy? It looked legit, but I sent my e-gold payment,
got my confirmation and tried to access their "members only" area and
couldn't. I then tried to contact them, and couldn't.

Fred,

www.goldeconomy.com are not a rip off.

It is a valid important site in the gold economy.

Perhaps you need to check the user name you selected and the password.
Simple things like caps lock off and
correct spelling are important as I have found to my cost before with
passwords.

If you have a problem email the goldeconomy requesting your iser ID and
password to be email to the email you presented when you originally signed
up.

You can always email [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you have a problem.

Rest assured Elwyn will look after you.

I have checked access for Dr Young. I am sorry he had this problem, but while we have
done everything we can to be compatible to all browsers there is an additional thing
you can do to ensure access problems do not happen -- use a Microsoft Browser when
submitting advertising to the site.

I am also just an e-mail away. Sorry I had to sleep last evning otherwise this would
have been solved within minutes of the problem occuring.

Please look for my new article on "Digital Currencies" that will appear on The Gold
Economy site today.

[e-gold-list] Tanzania

2001-01-15 Thread Bob

From Jim Rogers' site:

Last year, Tanzania had the highest level of international investment in
mineral
exploration of any nation in this resource-rich continent. Tanzania
should soon be one
of the three largest producers of gold in Africa (South Africa and
Ghana are the others),
with annual production rising to 2 million ounces by 2003. I am still
not optimistic
about the price of gold, but Tanzania’s deposits are near the surface,
so the production
 costs are low.

snip

There is a new stock market in Dar es Salaam, the capital, but foreign
investors
cannot as yet invest directly in the three Tanzanian companies with
public shares.
That should change soon. Meanwhile, the Presidential Parastatal Sector
Reform
Commission, a group that promotes privatization in Tanzania, offers an
introduction to
investing in the country and lists opportunities on its Web site
(www.psrctz.com). I
can’t vouch for the site’s specific content, but I do have high hopes
for Tanzania -- she
is Cinderella compared to her east Africa sisters.

[e-gold-list] Re: e-gold is big business

2001-01-15 Thread Kaare Bursell

Yes, e-gold is BIG business and as such it is utterly
INEXCUSABLE that they do not have 24/7 live tech support
and are not working their a**es off making our e-gold
accounts opaque to hackers. I know of one person
who had I5K removed from his account, and just
this week two people I know have had attempts at
hacking their e-gold accounts, in one case
rendering it useless for spends.
And, this is what is thoroughly displeasing,
when they attempt to get help from e-gold
all they get is an ANSWERING MACHINE. Jeez, that is
totally PATHETIC.
So, let everyone inundate e-gold with a demand they
get their support system to-gether and SOON,
regards,
Kaare Bursell

[e-gold-list] Just curious. . . when does E-Gold take it upon themselves to close accounts?

2001-01-15 Thread celina

Greetings Everyone;

I am just curious. . . when does E-Gold take it upon themselves to close
accounts that are suposeitdly circulating too much Gold into their
accounts?

I was told by a persaon that E-Gold monitors all accounts and if they see
too much E-Gold spent into a certain account in a day or series of days
they will suspend the account and denie access from the owner of that
account, and keep all the E-Gold that was spent into the account.

Dose this have any truth to it? Because if it does, I am a little leary of
having my money exposed to E-Gold account servers, can anyone help me with
this?

It is against their policy to close accounts without cause relating to a
security breech. They will, however, close the account to new deposits, if
they suspect that the account holder is engaging in fraudulent activity in
an anonymous account.
