It was 160,000 members. Unfortunately, ST couldn't handle it, which is one
of the reasons I left.

They, and a couple of others of similar size will now be running on a new
system, amid far less fanfare.

To US businesses and citizens,

This is a great opportunity for those that wish to get into the online
casino industry accepting DGCs. However, those interested MUST not ignore
the laws regarding online gambling, ESPECIALLY in the USA.

If you are a US company or citizen considering this idea, I highly recommend
that you review available information regarding the progress of Net Gambling
Bills. I've provided a few links here for those US businesses and citizens
that are interested.

Greetings,

Are you Dr Tomaz sick? Sorry for that, but it's a little less comparing with
what you are talking about ME.

Elwyn Jenkins and me are sorta different persons. Yes, I agree, you can see
the SR info in the WHOIS database of my domain name, but that's because Dr
Elwyn Jenkins was the first who supported my business and made me an
official Standard Reserve exchange agent (that was when the SR company was
just founded). He paid for the first year of hosting of goldspender.com.
Yes, Dr Jenkins was the person who registered my domain, he also advised me
to name my company GoldSpender. I was one of their official exchange agents
that time.

I also have more than $7k in my SR account, that I cannot access, like you
all.

Yes, but only indirectly. Much of the available funds searching for a new
home have gone either into foreign stocks (mostly Japanese and European) or
real estate. The irrational exuberance phase should obviously be over, but
the market is still not fully corrected.

If I've learned anything from my own investing its that only a disciplined
approach works to stave off the emotion that can cause one to go off cliffs
with the mob. One of those disciplines is attention to the historic P/E
ratios and what underlies them. Historically the P/Es of well managed
companies were in the mid-teens, now many are almost double. I can think of
no reason for such a differential except continued irrationality on the
part of un-savvy investors.

More troubling still is the asset base of these high flyers. Until the '90s
most company assets were 'hard' and tangible", with IP and goodwill making
up only 20 or so percent. Now many company balance sheets contain 50% or
more intangible assets. As we have seen goodwill can evaporate in a
heartbeat hollowing out the balance sheets of these companies. Too rich and
risky for my blood.

Of course Wall Street's accounting practices are no where near as big a
scam as the gov't's own off sheet account practices.

A big time bomb may be brewing over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Both have
used account sleight of hand to mask the quality of their assets and risk
management techniques. Currently they are shield from SEC enquiry. If they
come under real scrutiny then watch out economy.

To those holding SR:

- If your currency provider is the same guy as your wealth storer, your
cambio and your card issuer

- If there aren't audits

- If the value is stored not in physical mass-for-mass gold in a trusted
vault, but in Enron-able numeric abstractions such as "dollars"

- If the system's fractional reserve even in principle

...then what did you expect?

Might this hurt e-gold? Might, but it ought not to.

Who SHOULD this hurt? The other "currencies" who meet my above criteria.
Sure they may be honest now, but who's to know they'll never slip and
hire a thief?
