[e-gold-list] Return link with SCI
Hi I used the HTML given in the SCI specs to create a 'Donate now' button for an e-gold payment. If the payment is successful, the client will be directed to a hidden folder and a zip file will be downloaded. input type=hidden name=PAYMENT_URL value=http://www.mysite.com/MyDownload.zip; input type=hidden name=PAYMENT_URL_METHOD value=LINK How can I direct the client to a thank you page when the download has completed? I don't want to direct the client to a page when a succesfull payment is made - I first want to do the download and then direct the client to a page. Is it possible to automatically initiate a second download after the first download completed? (Stupid question, I guess!!) Can anyone help me out, please... Thanks. [e-gold-list] Clicking on the e-gold logo to receive payments: How?
Hallo again Thank you for the replies I received regarding my question 'Paypal vs e-gold: Similar services'. It really helped this rookie setting up a web page (for the first time). I tried the e-gold Shopping Cart Interface and it worked well, but now I want to streamline my web page a bit more. My aim is to place the logo of a number of services (e-gold, hyperWallet, etc.) at the bottom of my web page and activate a service when the client clicks on the corresponding logo. I've already placed the e-gold logo on my site, but now I'm stuck - I tried every option on Microsoft Frontpage Express to link the HTML code I copied (and edited) from the Shopping Cart Interface with the logo, with no success. How do I execute a number of HTML lines when clicking on a logo or push button? Probably I have to create a hyperlink, but again, how do I refer to the lines of code that must be executed? I cannot refer the clients directly to the e-gold website, because somewhere I have to put in my own account number, thank you page etc. This is a bit different than Delphi programming. In Delphi you select the OnClick event of the image or push button, and off you go...I don't find a similar OnClick event handler in Frontpage - but I have to add, I only downloaded Frontpage ysterday, so my knowledge is very limited at this stage. Is there anyone out there who is willing to 'speak just a few words of knowledge' to put me on the right track again?.(The Help function of the FREE frontpage version I downloaded is not enabled). Thanks again. [e-gold-list] Paypal vs e-gold: Similar services?
Hallo I'm in the process of setting up my (first) online business website following steps from videos I bought. The only problem is that these videos show me how to set up the Paypal service, and my country is not (yet) listed in the International Paypal setup. In an e-mail Paypal confirmed that I cannot use their services to receive payments from customers since Paypal is not available in South Africa. I'm new to the whole concept of e-businesses, and I'm not sure if it such a good idea to use e-gold in the place of Paypal. Is doing business online more difficult with e-gold than Paypal? Are there reliable, similar international services such as Paypal and e-gold? Can anyone perhaps advise me on what to do? Thanks.
