There is no built-in functionality in my router, it is running FreeBSD installed and configured from scratch. -- Cheers, Saul ___ ekiga-list mailing list ekiga-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/ekiga-list

[Ekiga-list] SIP Proxy
Hello, I am lost a bit about the uses of a SIP Proxy. I see how it is useful for outgoing calls, but I don't see how it can handle multiple ekiga.net addresses on different workstation. Setup: I have a non port translating firewall, that simply routes incoming calls to given internal IP. I have a certain number of workstations. If I set-up the routes for a specific workstation the RTP works fine both for calls out and incoming. So I assume that technically I should be able to have an outgoing/incoming relay behind the firewall that would make the distribution. Do I need to set-up a public domain name and an internal registrar? What am I missing here? ... Re: [Ekiga-list] SIP Proxy
Hello Bent, Not only it is not rude but it is what I was expecting. We can not all be SIP cracks and I did not find on SER or other SIP central system functional details. The RFC was not available to me a few hours ago. Thanks. That way I'll sleep with a fuller mind tonight... well it's Friday, it might melt down a little, 08:00 PM is late enough for serious activities.
