[Elecraft] Elecraft CW Net Report
Good Evening, There was more QSB than I had expected. On twenty meters an operator would be strong one second and gone the next. On forty meters there was more noise with less QSB. I had to move downward to avoid the RTTY folks on forty. On 14050.4 kHz at 2200z: W0CZ - Ken - ND NO8V - John - MI KL7CW - Rick - AK K4JPN - Steve - GA W8OV - Dave - TX On 7046.5 kHz at z: K6PJV - Dale - CA K0DTJ - Brian - CA KL7CW - Rick - AK It was a quiet, sunny Easter. Until next week 73, Kevin. [Elecraft] Elecraft SSB 20 meter net - Easter Sunday April 4, 2021
There were 17 check ins for the Easter Sunday April 4, 2021 edition of the Elecraft SSB 20 meter net. Our “normal’ net control station Eric WB9JNZ was enjoying Easter with family and friends so Steve WM6P stepped to the plate as net control to do battle with the propagation gods. As usual several relay stations were able to assist with check ins. Thanks to Steve and the relay stations for helping out in Eric’s absence. As in past weeks QSB was the main challenge during the net. Propagation seemed to favor east coast stations today. As conditions permit we take questions and comments after check ins We also have a 40 meter SSB Net on Sunday at 1900 UTC on 7.280 MHz with Steve WM6P in Georgia serving as net control . Our 80 meter net meets at 0100 UTC Sunday evening local around 3.775 MHZ with net control station Paul KB9AVO located in Indiana. 73 from Colorado Jim White - NC0JW ars.nc...@gmail.com __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
[Elecraft] No power out of a K line.
I have an Elecraft K3, KAT 500 and KPA 500. I usually use it at full power with a 260’ off-center dipole on 160, 80, 40, and 20m. Last week, I tried it with a 140’ doublet on 160 meters to see if the tuner would be able to reduce the swr to enable operation on that band. Since then when trying it on any band with the off center dipole, it shows the K3 putting whatever power it is set to but then immediately drops to zero. Is this a matter of switch settings or did I burn something out? Thanks.
