[Elecraft] KX3 and laptop 1 and 2
Laptops 1 and 2 both have Windows XP . Both have the latest utility software in place for KX3. Both have real serial ports . Laptop # 1 does not recognize the KX3. but will recognize my K3. Laptop # 2 will recognize both my KX3 and my K3 Can anyone give me some info as to why the situation with laptop # 1 might occur. [Elecraft] Kx3 lithium batteries life
I have had lithium batteries in my KX3 since I received it last Nov. I use the batteries only to keep the clock alive and have never used them to transmit or receive.. I use an external power supply to transmit etc, I now find that if I try to turn on the rig using just the batteries the rig comes on then immidiately turns itself off. I assume the batteries are to the point where there is not enough voltage to power up the rig but the B T voltage reads 10.5 to 11 volts which I thought should be enough to turn the rig on Does the clock in the KX3 take that much power that even lithium batteries have a very short life .?? Has anyone else experienced this situation?? Is there something I am missing ?? [Elecraft] MH2 Microphone and K3
I have a situation with the CMP and ALC bar graphs indicating and a scratchy noise when I press the PPT switch on my MH2 mic. This is before I speak into the mic. If I tap or speak into the mic the graphs return to normal, I have grounded pin I have a situation with the CMP and ACL graphs indicating and a scratchy noise that happens many times when I press the PTT button pn my MH2 mic. If I tap it or speak into it the graphs return to normal and the noise disappears I grounded pin 2 on the mic jack on the K3 and there is no noise or graph indication. I connected my Kenwood mic and it happens with it also. . Could there be some RF feedback getting into the mic circuit ? [Elecraft] N-gen
I built the N-gen and the noise does not increase like it is supposed to. I re-heated the joints, checked for proper part placements but it still doesn't work properly--- until I hold my finger across R1 and R5 at the same time, then the noise increases. [Elecraft] K1 indentity
I have a K1 which I aquired assembled. It works fine and I updated it and installed some options and the latest firmware. My problem is that it has no identity. It came with no serial number and my efforts to obtain one from the person I aquired it from fell on deaf ears. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I could use for an id serial number or possibly how to find the original serial #.--Please help me give it an identity.. [Elecraft] No audio from speaker on K2
Ok---this might be elementary to many but I can't seem to find the problem. After I built the NB board and plugged it in along with the SSB board and plugged in the ATU cable and the internal battery cable, I plugged in the speaker cable, Now there is no audio from the speaker, but there is audio from the headphones. I checked the speaker and cable with a ohmmeter and things look ok. Elecraft suggusted that the headphone jack might be bad, but I had never used it before this and the audio was ok from the speaker then. Everything else is working fine including the NB Has anyone else experienced this problem? I might add that I did not build this K2 but aquired it total built and working 100% Any help would be appreciated. [Elecraft] K1 volume
I have a K1 with the ATU and noise blanker. I notice once in a while the volume will be low.when I turn it on. A simple tap of the key will cause it to increase to normal at any volume setting. Then when I am listening it may decrease again until I tap the key again to bring it to normal. Anyone have any ideas as to what might cause this situation ? [Elecraft] K1 filter boards
I have a K1 which I purchased all built. It has the 40 and 20 mtr filter board in it. I purchased and built the ATU and noise blanker. I haven't used my other HF rigs since I started using this radio. Now I wish I had more bands to operate on with it. Does anyone have a four band filter board for 40.30,20,15 mtr that has been assembled,aligned and calibrated that is in excess to their needs and would like to sell it ?
