but - we dont nest anything or define anything inside the macro parameters -
its simple strings. []'s are not NEEDED. it's much of a muchness which way you
go.

to fix it - he added []'s i had removed them to have all version fields
consistent so scripts can easily update them all. he reported the problem after
the change to unquoted and added it back. it worked fine for me here thus it
didnt seem a problem. it must be a change in the local aclocal rodrigo has. it
doesnt like 1 field being unquoted yet others quoter (but libs/apps with all 3
fields unquoted caused no problem). it's a question of preference a or b in
this case. i just went for option b :)

[E-devel] berlin/paris/berne... who's around?

2009-04-23 Thread The Rasterman
hallo! bonjour! hello!...

just thought i'd drop this in. i'm heading to europe for a few weeks. business,
etc. and i'll be visiting a few spots there. here's my plan:

berlin: may 19-22
paris: may 25-30
berne: may 31-june 7
zurich: june 8-9

these are rough dates - but relatively certain... if anyone wants to grab some
beer/food/wine/whatever or just beat me with a large stick for having made your
life hell for the past few years here's your chance! get your sticks ready!

if you live in these places and are around at the time and up for mischief...
let me know!

pants on! (or skirts... whatever tickles your fancy).

I agree with vincent here, it's been this way for long and nobody ever had
issues with it. Would you mind providing an error log so that we can try to
understand why you were getting this error ?

we've had it both ways forever. never had a mixed line - thus i just changed it
to be one of the ways that worked "forever". :)

well i am trying to have the dialogs also size up nicely - in the case of
wallpaper this works well - some others just wont size up and stay small as
there is no more content to fill it with than a small amount. it all depends.
originally i had wanted all dialogs to fit in VGA (640x480) but really e is
being used on embedded stuff now - a lot, and these things come in qvga
(320x240 or 240x320) or smaller (though to be honest qvga is so common i'm just
calling the limit at qvga), and so the minimum intersection of size in qvga is
about 240x240 (or well 280x240 or 240x280, so 240x240 is the union of those).

[E-devel] possible error in xlib (and xcb) evas engine

2009-04-23 Thread Vincent Torri

hey,

in evas_xlib_outbuf, lines 202 to 209, swap and bit_swap are set but the
tests done on byte_order and bit_order are not symmetric according to
endianness (big endian : LSB and MSB, little endian : twice MSB)

I don't know that stuff, but is it normal ?
