1. Is everything all right on the CVS?. From a
month
ago or so, my E17 is a bit screwed up. It doesn't
remember things correctly, from time to time some
apps
are not able to detect shortcuts, etc.
detect shortcuts?
This happens with Eclipse for the most part. Sometimes
shortcuts just don't work. It used to get fixed by
setting the focus to another window, or changing
desktops, but now I have to restart Eclipse.
It's like E is consuming the event and not passing it
through to Eclipse. I'm gonna delete my whole .e
folder. I suspect it's all messed up.
application shortcuts are entirely up to the application - not e. eclipse is a
big java mess - i don't trust java's x support as far as i can throw it - it's
one horrid mess if you ever loo at it. as for e consuming events - e isn't
involved in the events at all - they go direct from input device to x, then x
to the app (eclipse). the only keys e will consume are keys it has already
grabbed for itself for e's own keybindings. (and they will then be in the
keybinding config, so you will know they are grabbed - also they likely will do
something when you press them).
so either e has already grabbed the keys (and you can configure that) or it's a
java/eclipse problem most likely.
Thanx again.
