These are in the lower-right corner of the main configuration pane of the console. Problem with headers and IMAP
Hi, First, let me apologize if this message has appeared multiple times. I've had some problems getting this message accepted by the list server. I'm having a problem with Exchange 2000 (SP2) adding and changing the headers of mail messages when a user moves a message from one IMAP mailbox to another. Message headers in the IMAP Inbox are correct, but they change when moved to a different mailbox. Some examples -- Exchange 2000 changes the content-type header. It seems to always change it to text/plain, which makes HTML and multipart messages unreadable after the move. It also drops the format = flowed from the same header (if it exists) which causes word wrapping issues with some clients (we have lots of Eudora users here). Exchange also adds lots of new headers, such as X-MS-TNEF-Correlator, and a content-class header of urn:content-classes:messages. All of this started happening after I installed Trend Micro's ScanMail virus scanner product, but it continues now even if I shut those services down. It seems like the installation of ScanMail changed some settings in the IMAP protocol somewhere, but I haven't been able to figure out what. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Problem with Exchange and message headers with IMAP mailboxes
Hello, I am having a vexing problem with my Exchange 2000 Server changing the headers to messages if I move a message from my main IMAP Inbox to another IMAP folder in my account. If I receive a message that lands in my IMAP Inbox, the headers are exactly as I would expect. If I transfer that message to another one of my IMAP mailboxes, the headers change slightly. Depending on the message and how the headers change, this either results in a slight cosmetic problem, or the entire message becomes unreadable. Example: Here are the headers for the welcome message that I received from this mailing list server, before I transfer the message (slightly edited so this list server will accept my post): Received: from lists.internet.com ([207.250.144.17]) by termserv.orchardsoft.com with Microsoft SMTPSVC(5.0.2195.4905); Sun, 26 May 2002 14:20:37 -0500 From: "internet.com" Reply-To: "internet.com" To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Welcome to exchange Discussion Community! Other times, Exchange will remove information from the Content-Type header, such as format=flowed, or multipart/alternative with the boundary information. I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction towards solving this problem.
