Thanks for all of your help. I mentioned a few things to try and you say you've tried them (no results mentioned, which necessitates playing 21 questions).. At this point I guess I could just give up and assume you've tried everything I'd try and therefore am at an end, or I could rack my brain for 50 other things to try and find out that you've already tried 49 of them and the 50th one either works or doesn't. Or... If this is really an issue you'd like your peers to help you with, you could take the time to provide a detailed problem description which includes the things you have tried so far with the results of those actions. Picking the least likely of the 50 other things you may not have tried, does completely uninstalling your antivirus software have any effect? RE: DELETING CALENDAR EVENTS
How would I be able to tell if that is the case? You mean by going to Calendar and right Clicking and going to properties? -Original Message- From: Ali Wilkes (IT) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, January 14, 2003 3:50 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: DELETING CALENDAR EVENTS Make sure the permissions for Default don't allow them to do so. -Original Message- From: Reed, Alexander [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Posted At: Tuesday, January 14, 2003 2:58 PM Posted To: List - Exchange Server List Conversation: DELETING CALENDAR EVENTS Subject: DELETING CALENDAR EVENTS I am trying to set permissions so that no one can delete a set calendar event on a resource conference room and users are able to delete events even when they do not have permissions to the mailbox calendar. I don't think he has an Exchange 2000 version yet but then you didn't mention which version of Exchange you are running. FW: CONFERENCE ROOMS
I am new to this list and I hope to gain more knowledge about Exchange Server. So to begin, I have a problem with our conference rooms. We current have a mailbox setup called "Resource Proxy" that is the "owner" of all of the conference rooms. When someone schedules a conference room, the resource proxy determines if the room is available (by seeing if "it" has a meeting scheduled for that time) and auto excepts if there is not conflict. There are some major drawbacks of resource scheduling in this manner including some conflicts we have seen in the past. I have looked into new methods to auto resource scheduling in the past, and I would like you to resolve this. I assume there is a more efficient way to script the automatic scheduling of conference rooms or do this in Exchange. I appreciate any help!
