Attachment problems in OWA

2002-04-03 Thread David Florea

I thought I'd seen this problem addressed but can't find it in the archives, nor
Technet, nor slipstick.com:

Exch2K, SP2 in AD network -- accesing OWA using IE, various flavors but mostly
IE5.5SP2.

Attachments get to/from their destinations fine. However, the process of opening
attachments is inconsistent; even just a Word attachment, sometimes it just opens,
sometimes you're required to right-click and save it, but even doing that, sometimes
there's an 'Open' menu option and you can just tell it to open and it will. Other
times not. If there's a switch or control to settle this down, I've not found it yet.

David

Problems with OWA

2002-01-17 Thread Michael Anderson

Hello All,

On my main machine, when I use Internet Explorer to get into
my mailbox, whenever I reply to people's messages, it doesn't
include their original message text - which should appear in
the bottom of my reply, indented.

Now when I move to a different machine, and check my mail the
same way using Internet Explorer, whenever I reply to a person's
message, it DOES include their original message text in the bottom
of my reply.

I looked under options, for that setting, and it's nowhere to be
found. Does anybody know where this setting is located? And
why it would work on one machine and not another (since the
browser is such a generic way if getting in)?

Thanks for any info,

Mike

RE: Problems with OWA

2002-01-17 Thread Michael Anderson

OOPS! - Sorry about that.

On the machine that does NOT work - Win2K, MSIE 6.0
On the machine that DOES work - Win2K, MSIE 5.5 (sp2)

Server version is Exchange 2000 SP2.

Is it possibly the browser version difference?

Thanks,

Mike

Possibly. We ran into that problem often during the beta, and I still do
occasionally with the RTM version.
