FB/Scheduling issues to non domian joined...

2011-09-21 Thread daemonR00t
Hi team,

Here's the scenario, a medium E14SP1, all clients running Outlook 2010 SP1
(domain A).

Everybody is happy but a subset of users that:

. Are behind some firewalls.

. Have their own AD forest.

. Their computers are joined to domain B but Exchange is on domain
A.

The OOF and Scheduling agents are not working. Can't set/remove OOF entries
or check out free/busy time for peers. As you can expect OAB is not going
thru either.

. If I set one of those profiles on a computer joined to domain A on
this side of the fence it all works like a charm.

. If I use a computer joined to domain A on their side and try to
get mail all features work.

Name resolution is fine, no issues reported on ExBPA, all other users
enterprise wide are ok.

I tried the steps below, no success:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940881

When Outlook 2007 is not domain-joined, you have to use a predefined URL
method or an HTTP redirect method in order to locate the Autodiscover
service. The following list contains two predefined URL methods and one HTTP
redirect method:

. https:// https://%3csmtpdomain%3e/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml
smtpdomain/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml

https://autodiscover.%3csmtpdomain%3e/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml
smtpdomain/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml

http://autodiscover.%3csmtpdomain%3e/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml
smtpdomain/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml

Any suggestions?

Hi Bao,

If you disable http on all your exchange servers then be aware you might
cause problems during co-existince if/when you upgrade to 2010. The
availability service will attempt to do http lookups for free/busy
information. I found that out the hard way where the IUSR.. account had
been removed from the virtual server so non admins couldn't use OWA.

Hi folks,

So, long story short, because of a telephony integration issue we ended up
deleting a mailbox and recreating a new one with the same alias. We're on
Exchange 2007 - I'm new here and so don't know the full history, but I can
only assume the Exchange organization goes back to 2003, 2000, and possibly
even 5.5. The original problem was resolved, but now there is one user in
particular that gets NDRs OCCASIONALLY when they try to email the individual
in question. Two other users have complained of issues one time only. When I
created the new mailbox I did not manually add an X500 address using the
LegacyExchangeDN...the user who is getting the NDRs has deleted their
Outlook NK2 entries, but emails keep coming back with:

IMCEAEX-_O=ACME_OU=EXCHANGE+20ADMINISTRATIVE+20GROUP+20+28FYDIBOHF23SPDLT+29
_CN=RECIPIENTS_CN=wilecoy...@acme.corp
#550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.ExRecipNotFound; not found ##

Will creating a new X500 address from the LegacyExchangeDN resolve this? It
is very intermittent, so I can't really reproduce the issue on demand

Thanks,
