Forwarding Links to Messages in public folders
Does anyone know if it is possible to have a message in a public folder and to be able to send people within the organization a link to that message? I am trying to avoid having 15 of the same message with attachments in 15 different mailboxes. I want the people to go to the public folder and view it from there. You can send a hyperlink of a folder, but not the individual message. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.) You can drag the folder of a public folder to an email or type the link as outlook://public folders/all public folders/your folder name. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the default settings of Exchange 5.5 and up is set up to just simply put one instance of an email, posting, calendar, etc,... on the server and anyone that has access to it just has a pointer to that item. This is something that Microsoft learned to do when they received complaints about earlier version databases were filling up extremely fast.
