RE: How do you...
I gave my admin account a mailbox but don't actually use it for email. I created a management virtual machine that I log on as my admin account with Exchange Management Console and Shell installed and very little else! I had to use Oracle Virtual Box as Windows 7 and Virtual PC don't support 64 bit guests and didn't want to put it on a hyper-v server. Waiting patiently for Windows 8 .. Re: How do you...
This was discussed here some time back. IIRC, despite all the advice to not mail-enable high privilege accounts, there are some things that you simply cannot do (at least via ECP) in Exchange 2010 without having a mailbox. RE: How do you check licenses on BES 5.0
I've tried BES 5.0 and for me, it appears to be a step back. I don't recall ever thinking You know, a web based ActiveX control management system would be far better than a nice MMC and after trying it, I know why. Progress for progress sake imo. Even without the LDAP auth to BAS bugs I'm probably sticking with 4.1 for a while. Forgot the first part. How to I confirm that POP3 is running? You are really authenticating to Windows, not Exchange, so username and password are required, not email address. In some configurations, it may be required to use domain/username as the username. Actually, it looks like you have IIS5 SMTP service, so I will assume Exchange2000. If you are on the LAN, use Outlook in Corporate Workgroup mode and create a MAPI profile. how do you automatically update meeting attendees.
Good morning, Outlook 98 Exchange 5.5 sp4 How does a person automatically read accepted/declined/tentative messages from meetings. I have a user that schedules hundreds of meeting a week and doesn't really want to open all of these messages. She still is interested in seeing how many accepted, declined or are tentative so that she can set up. This information does not seem to be updated unless the accepted/declined/tentative messages are opened. Thanks for your help. What happens when you try it for yourself? Yegods! If you had experimented a bit yourself instead of waiting for the list members to do your work for you, you could have had this finished by now. -Original Message- From: Mitchell Mike [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, January 25, 2002 12:46 PM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: RE: How do you send a recurring message Thanks for the input. How do you build accounts using CSV file
Good morning, Exchange 5.5 SP4. Outlook 98. We are interested in building a large number of Exhange mailboxes using a template that has predetermined values in the Office field, department field and space limits. We cannot find the prohibit send and receive value to place in the CSV file. Does anyone know what this might be? RE: How do you build accounts using CSV file
IIRC The field is called MDB-Over-Quota-Limit but I'm pretty sure you can't set it from an import .csv -Original Message- From: Mitchell Mike [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 27 November 2001 15:11 To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: How do you build accounts using CSV file Good morning, Exchange 5.5 SP4. Try using the HEADER.EXE utility located on the Exch Resource Kit You can build a CSV file with the fields you need. -Mensaje original- De: Snook, Kevin S (ITD) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Enviado el: Tuesday, November 27, 2001 10:57 AM Para: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Asunto: RE: How do you build accounts using CSV file IIRC The field is called MDB-Over-Quota-Limit but I'm pretty sure you can't set it from an import .csv -Original Message- From: Mitchell Mike [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 27 November 2001 15:11 To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: How do you build accounts using CSV file Good morning, Exchange 5.5 SP4. RE: How do you build accounts using CSV file
IIRC the only caveat to using header.exe is that it needs to be run on an Exchange server. It will not run on a desktop w/ only the admin.exe. You are correct. OWA will reach out to any server in the org.
