Re: Outlook:mac with Exchange

2002-06-06 Thread Micheal Espinola Jr

Its unlikely. Since the migration, he hasn't been able to use Outlook:mac
at all. The only Exchange server access he has had has been via OWA on a
W2K system.

OWA wont work for him on any Mac. Neither will Outlook:mac - even on Mac
systems that other users can successfully use it.

Is it possible that something in AD is glitching him? And that his account
may need to be manually deleted/scraped in AD - since an account/mailbox
deleting isn't working ?

I am starting to assume AD is to blame, since the problem follows him to
different Macs.

Thanks,

Is it possible he turned on the encryption stuff in Outlook and its
blowing up. Of course, that probably wouldn't be the same on OWA, so
that's odd. What if you log into an nt machine and try it? Or OWA on
another machine?

Sorry I don't have the version #'s off-hand, but the CD's are at the Mac

Thanks, I appreciate the effort. I have seen similar topics listed in
Google Groups. The easy solutions were to fix/add items in the hosts file.
This users host file matches other (working) users hosts files.

And as I said, he can use Dave to access NT shares without an issue.

Thanks again,

When you say you recreated the account does this also mean you recreated the
exchange mailbox?

Re: Outlook:mac with Exchange

2002-06-06 Thread Micheal Espinola Jr

I didn't intend to send the previous email as it was... as I needed to add
more info to what I have tried to do to resolve this issue. Sorry about
that.

I have tried changing the PAW. I have tried deleting the account and
recreating it. I also recreated it based on a copy from another Mac user
that does not have any issues.

This problem Mac user can access OWA from a Windows system. But he cannot
accesses Exchange or OWA via ANY of the Macs. Even other Macs were the
original Mac user did not have any issue.

The problem seems to follow this user - even after recreating his account
several times.

Outlook:mac with Exchange

2002-06-06 Thread Micheal Espinola Jr

I have a number of Mac users that have been recently setup to use the new
Outlook:mac client to access our Exchange server.

I have (1) user that this absolutely doesn't work with. He receives a
credentials error when attempting to connect. He also receives a
credentials error when attempting to connect to OWA.

For at least 2 years, these Mac users have been accessing NT shares with
Dave. This user uses the same credentials to connect to NT shares without
an issue. Other Mac users can access the Exchange server
