RE: Exchange 2010 Droid Notes/Tasks

2012-03-12 Thread Steve Goodman
I'd always suggest TouchDown on Android for a solid ActiveSync client. The
feature support on Android is too scattered otherwise. As I understand it, it
isn't Exchange that doesn't support it, it's Motorola's implementation of the
protocol.

Doing some reading, trying to verify for sure that Exchange 2010 (sp1 or sp2)
does not support syncing of tasks/notes over the activesync protocol to droid..

Maybe using touchdown or another app ...

Thanks

Mail, calendar, and contacts are all you will get by default using the
native EAS client... Touchdown will give you Notes and Tasks...

2012-03-12 Thread Michael B. Smith
Let's not confuse Exchange Server ActiveSync vs. an ActiveSync implementation.

Apple, various Android OEMs, Touchdown, etc. - all of these are ActiveSync
licensees. Which parts of the spec they choose to implement are completely up
to them.

Exchange Server ActiveSync supports it.

You know, I've thought about doing (in my voluminous free time) an open-source
implementation of EAS It's not trivial, but it isn't that complicated,
either.
