Do a "uname -r" (without the quotes) and see if the kernel version you are
using is an smp one (i.e. ends in smp).

In order to have a boot disk through the ls120, you will need to
use an ls120 cartridge. The linux kernel mknod() function bombs
on a normal floppy in an ls120. So the ls120 will format a
normal floppy but linux cannot write the boot sector on it.

The trick is to format the ls120, then modify the mkbootdisk
script to skip the formatting.

There4 is extensive discussion of this problem by Civileme, Alan
Shoemaker, and Dan Schwarzendruber for this topic circa December
1999. Please check the archives for more complete details. It
was Dan who made his own boot disk from an LS120 cartridge.

the new generations of quickcam released under Logitech are not supported
in linux, but the older generation that was released under connectix has
fairly good support. The problem is finding this camera and not paying
through the nose on ebay. Luckily, I found information on Phillips USB
webcams that have very good support in Linux. I bought one for like 60 on
buy.com. Pretty much the only thing special you need to do is to download
the usb backport to 2.2.14 and patch the kernel. The newest backport
doesn't work with the driver yet, but 2.3.50 backport works well. And I
must say, the quality is noticibly better than quickcam(express, which I
also have on my Windows machine). For more information, you can check

As far as I know the only info is that it will support DDR-RAM, Dual
processors, and a 266mhz FSB, and it will debut after the 760 (also from
AMD) which has all of the above but does not support dual processors. I
expect the 770 at the end of 2000 but that's according to the current AMD
roadmap which may change.

I finally solved this problem. the most useful resource turned out to be a
checklist in a recent version of the NFS HOW-TO, at
ttp://www.redhat.com/mirrors/LDP/HOWTO/NFS-HOWTO-7.html.

It turned out in my case that the problem was incorrect syntax in the
/etc/hosts.allow file that was preventing rpc from accepting requests.

Another item not mentioned in the HOW-TO above is that the /etc/exports
file does not allow tabs; white space must be spaces, not tabs. This may
apply to other files as well.

Try to read the README file in the gabber package... You have to

In that file it's written also the link where you can get these files.

What is the problem?, I don't see it mentioned in this post but your zone file
looks a bit off. What messages are you getting for named in /log/messages?

The name server on your box is listed twice. I'd get rid of the first record

The A record for your box is missing

ls2.oerl.au.IN A xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
