[expert] Problems after upgrade (MDK 9.0->9.1)
Hi, after the upgrade i cannot listen music (on my sb live) the problem seems to be related to the volume level is aways 0 at startup also after saving new defaults. I had to put a script into ~/.kde/Autostart directory with aumix -L to use my default value. Any reason for this?? Another problem is on my desktop i cannot use default icons (home for example does nothing) and when i try to use control center to configure desktop it says that there is not a file called "libkcm_konq.la". Any ideas? Thanks a lot Angelo __ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Tax Center - File online, calculators, forms, and more http://tax.yahoo.com Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? This would > make it a 2-stage job, which has nuisance value. yes, but remenber that a lot of people use MS Office and sometimes we have to convert our documents to share them. (i.e. doc or pdf) Anyway my problem is to print them on fax without open them. Try to think to people that have to send a fax with a scanned image and a "msword/swriter" document. Why do I have to open a new document, import the image and the "msword/swriter" file to print on fax? (i think the problem is also present with KOffice) The reasonable way is using a tool like kdeprintfax i.e. easy to use. Setting up new printer (ps one on file) with spadmin and "soffice -pt PRINTER" command line seem to be the rigth solution, but i've to test better. > The other thing you have to consider is whether you > need to receive > faxes, as that is much harder to achieve. this is not a problem at present using efax. __ Do you Yahoo!? [expert] problem with filesystem check
Hi, every 21 times the filesystem check starts on boot and fails. This problem is present only with MSK91 (not in 8.1 8.2 or 9.0). I was not care about this till the repear phase hasn't failed. Some important libraries (such as qt) were corrupted and i'm not sure to have problem in future using programms that i'm not usually use. I decided to ask help because a friend of mine had the same problem last week always with mandrake 9.1 but different HW. We have similar HD partitions i.e. /dev/hda5 on / type ext2 /dev/hda7 on /home type ext3 Can the problem be on ext2 partition and if, how can i change to ext3 without loosing anything?
