Re: [expert] Nedit commands keys problems

I was using gEdit, but switched to nEdit because it has more features.
The only thing I really don't like about nEdit is that the editing
window is always white. In gEdit you can change the window color.

Actually, there are command line options to change the foreground and
background colors. I haven't played with it much, but i think it has to be
done at start. At least i've never found how to change the colors when you
are already running it.

Try man nedit or nedit --help, the commands will prolly show up.

I have solved the problem ^_^, well, actually I have found the solution in
the nedit page FAQ:

You haven't overlooked anything, it's a Motif design flaw. Netscape
painfully works around this and the Alt/Meta key reversal on Sun workstations
by internally re-implementing the Motif menu accelerator mechanism. NEdit
will likely follow suit with the next major release.

So just dissable the Bloq Num and, and least in my main computer this has
worked ^_^

I ran into a similar problem, when I had my numlock key on. If numlock is
on, then Ctl-key shortcuts like copy and paste don't work. All I can do is
turn off numlock when I use nedit. Actually, though, I am trying out gedit
to see if it works as well.
