Re: [expert] Nedit commands keys problems
I was using gEdit, but switched to nEdit because it has more features. The only thing I really don't like about nEdit is that the editing window is always white. In gEdit you can change the window color. Jay Dave Sherman wrote: I ran into a similar problem, when I had my numlock key on. If numlock is on, then Ctl-key shortcuts like copy and paste don't work. Actually, there are command line options to change the foreground and background colors. I haven't played with it much, but i think it has to be done at start. At least i've never found how to change the colors when you are already running it. Re: [expert] Nedit commands keys problems
Jay I have solved the problem ^_^, well, actually I have found the solution in the nedit page FAQ: You haven't overlooked anything, it's a Motif design flaw. Netscape painfully works around this and the Alt/Meta key reversal on Sun workstations by internally re-implementing the Motif menu accelerator mechanism. NEdit will likely follow suit with the next major release. So just dissable the Bloq Num and, and least in my main computer this has worked ^_^ -- Francisco Alcaraz Ariza Department of Plant Biology Faculty of Biology University of Murcia Murcia (Spain) work e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] home e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] El Vie 18 May 2001 18:26, escribiste: nedit exhibits the very same behaviour on my LM 7.2 box, under gnome and kde. Re: [expert] Nedit commands keys problems
I ran into a similar problem, when I had my numlock key on. If numlock is on, then Ctl-key shortcuts like copy and paste don't work. All I can do is turn off numlock when I use nedit. Actually, though, I am trying out gedit to see if it works as well. Re: [expert] Nedit commands keys problems
Thanks Dave, I found this solution also in the nedit home page. Francisco Alcaraz Murcia (Spain) El Vie 18 May 2001 19:00, escribiste: I ran into a similar problem, when I had my numlock key on.
