For the printer name on the win box, make sure it's something without
spaces etc.  Such as BJ6000.  Make sure that when you enter the printer
name in printtool that you enter it as lower case such as bj6000. 
Strangely, one of the linux boxes I have needs the printer defined as
/xyz and the other as just xyz in printtool.  So try putting in the
slash or removing it also.

Yes, I can ping both ways, etc.  I can print from the Windows
box to the Linux box just fine.  Just not the opposite.  I'll
include the details after I get home tonight. Networking is
setup fine btw.

You have said nothing about what you did on the Windows box. Have you made
the printer sharable, enabled Microsoft Networking, etc.?

Nor have you indicated whether you have general IP connections. Can you
even ping from each box to the other?

have you installed a printer under linux?
the printer you install under linux should use a driver that is related
to your printer.
also,
what does your smb.conf look like?
