Re: [expert] Postfix Mail server
Ok, i am trying to get started at the twikisite (i am EricHuff over there), please tell me if i mess something up...) It was suggested a week or so ago that Johns email RE [newbie]How to Defrag XP Properly, WAS - Re: WineX -- Update! be put in the twiki, since it is a good HowTo. But after poking around, i couldn't decide if it goes in the top level of HowTos, or right next to Anne's DriveFull in HowTo > TipsAndTricks > HardwareTips > HardDrivesGeneral > Problems It feels like there are too many generic sub categories. Maybe Howtos should be broken into categories (like hardware), and stuff from TipsAndTricks organized into those categories? -- Mandrake HowTo's & More: http://twiki.mdklinuxfaq.org Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Personally, I don't think it matters too much where things actually are, so long as they are easily found, which is why I support the idea of restructuring the index, possibly even with multiple entries for some topics. I would like to see it structured by theme, eg audio, video, server applications, etc... Anne Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Go to http://www.mandrakestore.com

I find that I either browse the complete index for guessing the page, or have to use the search, which is difficult because it is case sensitive and TWiki words need unusual casing. I think it is a result of success that it has become difficult in this way, but to improve it needs a concerted effort. We would probably need some discussion about criteria for grouping things. I would suggest that volunteers start with a copy of the existing full index on a separate page, so that we can work on it and discuss it, linking as we think best. That way the existing index and search can carry on until we feel we have something better to replace it. What do you think? Anne Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? I would highly recommend tinydns for this. Don't forget to have your ISP put in an entry for reverse lookups of your IP address or some mail servers aren't going to accept mail from you. I fought with it for a good half-day before I figured it out. Another little bug to fix is gonna be chown root.postfix /usr/sbin/sendmail. Anytime you have linuxconf/netconf configure something, it always sets the group back to root on postfix's sendmail, disabling the local smtpd. -- Rich Clark Sign the petition at http://www.libranet.com/petition.html Help bring us more Linux Drivers
