Sergeant Crowley broke protocol when he responded to a break in at Dr. Gates
house. After he established identification of the owner of the house, Gates
himself, Crowley was then supposed to have had Gates wait outside while he
(Crowley) went back inside with assistance and *clear* the house. This means he
was supposed to have completely checked out the house for possible intruders.

[FairfieldLife] Big Mistake

2009-06-16 Thread Joe Smith
The biggest mistake Israel ever made was not annexing the entire West Bank
after the 1967 war, giving the Palestinians, who clearly lost that war, the
choice to either accept Arab--Israeli citizenship or ship out to Jordan. Jordan
originally was supposed to be Palestine, not Israel, the two nations were to be
divided by the Jordan River.

Gaza, like the West Bank, was supposed to have been acquired by Israel as a
negotiation with Egypt without the Palestinians in the deal. Again, Israel had
the upper hand in this negotiation since they kicked Egypt's ass in that war
(1967).

When it comes to post war negotiations, the Israeli's have always been totally
inept and have been paying for it ever since and will continue to do so. No
nation would have accepted what Israel did after winning the 67 war regarding
the terms of a West Bank and Gaza. They have always felt obligated to kiss the
ass of an enemy clearly defeated.

Carter in Gaza is a looser. He's a looser no matter where he goes as a
'humanitarian', trying to make up for a legacy as the worst president in U.S.
history. He doesn't need to worry though,, Obama will take the torch as the
worst president in U.S. history after he's replaced in 2012.

Gaza and its continuing trade blockade, which he said forbids even

I understand that even paper and crayons are treated as a security
hazard, he told Gazans at a local United Nations office. I sought an
explanation of this when I met with Israeli officials and I received none,
  because there is no explanation.

Carter, 84, has spent far more years as a human rights activist than he did
in the White House from 1977 to 1981. He is easily the most outspoken
former U.S. president on the Middle East conflict, and seen by many
  Israelis as a harsh critic.

He ignored a U.S. government ban on dealings with Gaza's Islamist rulers
Hamas and had talks with its leaders.

Israel tightened a blockade on Gaza in 2007 when Hamas took control after
routing rival Fatah forces loyal to President Mahmoud Abbas, who favours a
peace deal with Israel. In late December, Israeli forces bombed then
invaded Gaza, devastating its already battered infrastructure.

Since then, Israel has blocked imports of steel, cement and other goods to
the population of 1.5 million Palestinians, saying Hamas could use many
  items for military purposes.

Carter, a Democrat, said he had seen for himself there had been almost no
reconstruction in Gaza over the past five months.

Never before in history has a large community like this been savaged by
bombs and missiles and then been deprived of the means to repair itself,
  he said.

Maharishi refused to support International projects for Israel though He was
under heavy pressure from israelis in and outside of the Movement; Igal
Harmelin comes to mind. I remember Igal said that billions of dollars would
be open to Maharishi if he would start projects in Israel.

When Israeli history for the Age Of Enlightenment will be written the world
will see that though they certainly had His Divine support, rather His heart
 dwelled amongst the Palestinians.

After a drive from Israelis to support projects in Israel Maharishi said; we
 can not;

Israel is bombing Palestinian villages... and all that

He guaranteed it. Petstore.com bought him out for an undisclosed amount and

bought it back, rebuilt the business and then sold it a second time for more

2009-05-04 Thread Joe Smith
True North determined for the construction of Vastu homes is established by a
projection of the earth's axis to an imaginary point within the celestial
constellations. The north star is used as the reference point. Read this
article and tell me if you conclude that the reference point is not consistent
over time.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_celestial_pole

The celestial poles do not remain permanently fixed against the background of
the stars. Because of a phenomenon known as the precession of the equinoxes,
the poles trace out circles on the celestial sphere, with a period of about
25,700 years. The Earth's axis is also subject to other complex motions which
cause the celestial poles to shift slightly over cycles of varying lengths; see
nutation, polar motion and axial tilt. Finally, over very long periods the
positions of the stars themselves change, due to the stars' proper motions.

Fort Collins is 40 minutes from the university so anytime she performs, I go

Her role in Aida which they performed was one of the chorus, these were the
slave girls of the queen. Freshman-sophomore students generally end up in
chorus positions, lead roles generally offered to seniors or graduate students
but this year, her third, she's been offered a lead role in Pirates of Penzance
as one of the sisters, did an opera scene as Carmen, mezzo role, was Hansel in
Hansel and Gretel which she did well. They have a woman's glee club which is
the largest in the US, 120 girls and sounds remarkable. Each year, the
university puts together a Gala which shows off every department in the music
major from jazz, opera to symphony. At the end of the concert, they combine the
symphony with the chorus, for example Handel's Messiah. It's unbelievable. The
whole music program is fantastic because there's only a few hundred people in
the entire music major, everyone is friendly and you don't have that cut throat
competition that you may find in the eastern schools. That's not to say that
it's not competitive, you just don't find razor blades in the piano keys. (a
rumor started about Julliard) The directors are amazingly talented, this one
guy who puts the opera productions together is very talented. Melissa Malde,
the voice teacher has done a lot of work with her for almost four years now.

but gave them 12 instead. No one read it but it passed anyway.

2. Said we had to get the bailout plan signed through as quick as
possible but took an additional four days to sign it in Denver.

3. Said he would go after mayors who would misspend the bailout money
but promised to give the mayor of Chicago 20 billion anyway for the
corrupt airport renovation project even though this project is
currently under investigation for corruption.

4. Promised that the bailout plan had no pork in it even though there
is a magnetic train from Disneyland to Las Vegas, money set aside to
monitor volcanoes and money set aside for the protection of mice in
California.

5. Promised to pull all troops out of Iraq in 16 months but has
decided on 70,000 troops in 19 months and the remaining 50,000 in
three years which was Bush's original plan.

6. Promised to tax the rich, those making over $250K, but this wont
happen until 2011.

7. Promised Change but Obama's first budget will top $3 trillion and
predicts the deficit for this year will soar to a whopping $1.75
trillion, according to administration.

8. Will increase welfare to mother's with dependent children programs
canceling Clinton's passing of laws that did away with abuses of those
who chose to stay home in order to qualify for welfare checks and
benefits.

9. Promised a free college education for everyone.

10. His most recent promise is an increase in benefits for the
soldiers returning from Iraq.

rivers of chocolate in the land of Hatchy Milatchy to me.

In Kali Yuga, enlightened leaders are
crucified by ignorant masses and enlightened masses are ruled by
  ignorant leaders and governments.

Compared to what? We have human leaders. They have limitations.
Some mean well and are smart and some are dumbasses and self serving.
It has always been like this. No magical past when humans weren't
humans. The idea that any leader ever existed who was a perfect daddy
seems like wishful thinking. What we have learned from history is
that even well meaning people become a version of asshole when they
get royal powers. That's why it isn't popular today. We stopped
believing in the fairy tale of a perfect leader.

I was thinking of what was referred to in the Indian Scriptures, i.e.,
King Janaka described as an enlightened monarch. Since this was during
Sat Yuga, the people were supposed to have been enlightened also. If
this actually existed, then you have the circumstances that for an
enlightened monarchy. Capitalism is probably the best system we have
in this age.

It's funny because back in the '50s and '60s the flouride debate was
kinda the quintessential collective versus individualsim debate in
 the United States.

Those for flouridation cited studies that allegedly showed that
municipalities that flouridated their water had children with
significantly lower rates of cavities, etc. So the reasoning was:
why not do it and help out those kids whose parents wouldn't teach
 them to brush, etc.

Those against decried government interfering with what should be a
 personal choice.

I'm with the latter. I grew up in a community that did NOT
flouridate yet my mother wanted us to have the benefit of it. So
what did she do? She purchased flouride from the pharmacy and put
the prescribed dose in our orange juice every morning when we were
 kids.

This to me is the answer to the debate: those that are against it
don't have it forced on them; those that do can do what my mother did.

Another thing: I don't know if there are any studies on this but if
you flouridate the entire water supply I cannot imagine that the
benefits of flouridation could be as good as if you have controlled
dosages, such as what my mother did. And wouldn't flouridation
threaten the full benefits of people who want to give their children
controlled dosages...kinda whitewashing any possibility that
controlled dosages could get the results they want?

Flouridation policy reminds me of the debate over statins
(cholesteral reducing drugs): we may know what they do in the short
term but no one has ANY idea what the long-term effects are.

It's very difficult to stop cities from fluoridating their water but
since Vedic City is an incorporated town with a philosophy of Vedic
health standards, it would probably be easy to get them to stop
putting this poison in the water.

I'm not suggesting conventional or non conventional but would like to
share my brother's experience. His PSA was high for many years, 24,
normal is around 2. He kept telling me for years that the majority of
people with high PSA don't need surgery, that even with cancer, the
progression is slow for most men and means nothing. One day he calls
me and said that the doctor insisted on a biopsy and they found that
the prostate was cancerous and was on the verge of metastasizing,
cancer cells passing beyond the walls of the prostate into the blood
stream. IOW, he caught it just in time. He found a guy in Southern
California who had performed thousands of robotic procedures just as
you described and had it done. His surgery was successful. His life
was saved. Robotics according to him, is the way to go. It can
decrease the side effect of loosing ability to control urination. This
sometimes happens after prostate surgery. You're supposed to exercise
this muscle after surgery. My brother is now in great shape and is
happy he did it.

heard - not directly, but I believed it - that he told one of the
Kaplans to never set foot back inside his ff home.

If all the non Vastu homes were torn down in the world, how would you
construct an infrastructure of streets that would allow for east and
north facing homes and buildings? If the street ran a traditional four
direction grid, then only homes on the south and west side of the
streets could be built, leaving the other side of the streets empty.
How would you design a city to accommodate all the vastu requirements,
entrances, rooms, back yards, lakes, hills, etc.
I worked on paper with this and one idea was to have circular streets
rather than grid designs with homes and buildings built half way
around the circle all facing east. Any ideas for a perfectly vastu
city infrastructure. Is it possible? Does Vedic City actually
accomplish this?
