Sometimes he talks about his Dad who is a dentist and apparently his
folks are Democrats. He mentioned recently that his mom was at a
Democratic function where Bill Clinton spoke and the reception a friend
of hers asked if Clinton knew about Alex and he responded that Alex "is
one of the most important talk radio hosts in America." Stunned, her
friend proceeded to make sure he was talking about the same Alex and he
assured them he was. Funny because Alex plays an ad (way overused on
his show) where Clinton goes berserk over the insinuation that "9-11 was
an inside job." Not one of Clinton's best moments. A more prudent
response (that some politicians have made) would have been "we need a
more thorough investigation." Alex's folks BTW are younger than I am.

I tend to turn off Alex when he become to Jesus nuts. I think until
after the election from what I could tell from his forum members that
30% of his listeners were progressives or liberals. They love his
government exposes. Then he gets calls from conservatives who say he's
liberal. Thing is he likes to call himself a "Constitutional
conservative" but the Constitution is a pretty liberal document and
therefore he would tend to come off liberal.

I do tell people he is just a "shock jock" and makes his money with the
conspiracy genre. I note that he hasn't had Willie Nelson back on
since Willie said "let's give Obama a chance." :-D

I know Alex Jones and I assure you that what pays the bills is what
motivates Alex.

I'm aware of Alex being over the top about The One/The Messiah (is that the
proper invocation for FFL?). It freaked me out when he suddenly turned one
day (I listen to him on one of the microchannels (FM) from GW Bush to
Obama. But that's how you stay in business.

What you really should worry about is the Aryan Brotherhood, the KKK and the
skinheads. They are very up in arms about Obama the hi yeller and Obama
wanting to take away our guns. As far as Ayurveda, Alex has no clue what
all these bizarre things are he's selling. To him it's income. And of
course a way to keep the network operating.

You need to take some vata tea to your neighbor Alex Jones there in
Austin. He's really freaked about Obama. Of course that is how he
makes his money by keeping his listeners in a state of fear so they by
his videos. He's fun to listen to though but today he is over the top.
Alex was pushing shilajit a while back from one of his sponsors so he
should be open to some more ayurvedic cures. :-D

Dog, I assume you think that's cute. Well, let me tell you. I'm ready to
call for his impeachment. He's already gone back on so much huff and puff,
on magic. And then there's the Congress. He never told us he'd have to get

I had some time after lunch yesterday to walk around downtown Austin (a
blustery but warm and as usual sunny day). I chatted strangers up. The
Peoples Republic of Austin is located in a Republican state. There were the
"like wow, like totally awesome" statements about Obama then there the ones
who'd seen a few elections who saw Obama as just another politician. And
mind you I was on the very streets where LBJ walked (or ran liquor runs from
Johnson City in his underwear). People still remember LBJ and that /he/ was
a politician. This is going to be an interesting 100 days.
