I don't know that I believe the western imported idea of 'fasting is
good for you and your spiritual experiences'. It's certainly not
promulgated in Ayurveda. It's also one of the quickest ways to
unbalance yourself. We've imported a myth of 'just fast, it's good'.
Yeah, sure if you're a yogi and know the techniques for balancing the
five elements and know how to imbibe prana, yeah then it has some real
advantages.

But fads like TM just wanted to look like yogis. It's good for the
brand. "Wow, we're yogis, we fast." It's based on ignorance, not wisdom.

A fruit diet is the most tasty diet you will ever eat. In fact, until you have
been on a fruit diet for at least 3 days, you ACTUALLY have not tasted food

I said a 'fruit diet' ... I did not say they could not be cooked. You do
whatever you want with them, and like I said, you satisfy strong
cravings for other things once in a while -- those people on your TTC
were just like many of you ru's were back then -- all about forcing down
your throats whatever morcel of knowledge was thrown at you, and
lecturing people on how to do everything down to a 't'.

Am I right?

Unlike me, I'm easy going about things.

By the way, Maharishi cannot cure cancer. A fruit diet can. Facts of
life.

Here in the States that's being marketed
as a raw-foods diet, with its proponents
making it sound like it's something brand-
new. I think it sounds not only incredibly
boring and tasteless, but not really all

On my TTC at Estes Park (1970) there was a group of prospective TM teachers who
had adopted the so-called 'Mucousless Diet'. And at one of Maharishi's lectures
they were recommending it to Maharishi as an effective healthy alternative.

As I recall, at mealtimes these people would only eat uncooked vegetables and
