Re: [FairfieldLife] Yogic Flying equals economic growth
And you like most TM fanatics are not telling the whole story: Speaking to El Comercio, IPE managing director Miguel Palomino Bonilla said “If Cusco were an independent country, it would be the number one in economic growth in the last five years [worldwide].” Palomino Bonilla added that “Cusco’s growth is due, more than anything, to the mining and hydrocarbons sectors, construction, and services...” Mining and hydrocarbons sectors - equals massive environmental destruction and loss of land for native populations, but the rich are getting richer and we all know the wealthy were Marshy's favorite marks. Jai Guru ignorant ass attitudes that glorify any little detail we can make into a triumph for TM. In other news from around Latin America: *Venezuelan security forces are accused of illegally detaining and abusing opposition protesters in a report by Human Rights Watch (HRW). The report says that in some cases troops used torture, including threats of rape and execution. More than 40 people have died since protests began in early February, with more than 2,000 people arrested. Protests began with students demanding action to tackle high crime rates, inflation and basic food shortages. *The chief of intelligence in the north-eastern Mexican state of Tamaulipas has been killed. Col Salvador Haro Munoz was shot dead along with his two bodyguards. The intelligence chief and his guards were ambushed in their car by armed men in the state capital, Ciudad Victoria. *Honduran authorities are investigating the deaths of at least seven children who may have been murdered after refusing to join criminal gangs. In the latest case, police found the body of a seven-year-old boy who appeared to have been tortured. His 13-year-old brother was found dead a day before. All the crimes took place over the last month in an area dominated by street gangs in the industrial city of San Pedro Sula. Honduras has one of the highest murder rates in the world. Better tell those yogic flyers to fly a little bit higher - the increased mining and hydrocarbon wealth of Peru isn't keeping Honduras from being one of the best places to get murdered. [FairfieldLife] Yogic Flying is the proof.
`Habit bound we are saying that in every generation this knowledge of Art and Music has to be in the student's life, and when he is still student age, he should know how to live the way a leaf lives. How does a leaf live? The leaf blossoms into a colorful flower. The colorful flower blossoms into many tastes of fruits. So one blossoms into many, increasing the magnitude of bliss, increasing the magnitude of bliss. Self-referral is the key. Transcendental Meditation is the key. Advanced techniques of Transcendental Meditation are the keys. Yogic Flying is the proof.' Maharishi 9 March 2006, MERU, Holland

[FairfieldLife] Yogic flying and the five knots
From time to time I pick up a book by the Dalai Lama and read through it even though I won't be buying it. I find valuable yogic tidbits this way although a brief statement may not be enough for a book purchase. In one of these, the Dalai Lama was asked about yogis who claimed they could fly - such as Milarepa. He said that yes it was possible but that there were five knots in the heart had to be un-knoted for the prana-vayus to flow properly. Here it is significant to note that the yoga-sadhanas of Naropa and Maitripa have detailed knowledge-practices (Tsa-Lung) for clearing all the prana-nadis. Note also that contemporary Tibetan practitioners have mastered both tsa-lung and tummo inner-fire and have demonstrated this empirically in deadly cold conditions which are impossible for ordinary human bodies to tolerate. However, we might also note that not one of them has demonstrated the ability to perform yogic flying (akasha gamana). We might also note that the Tibetans demand this very kind of demonstration every time some yogi says he is enlightened. Enough said?

The vows and precepts for Lung-Gompas are very strict, so it's highly unlikely you'd ever see this, although novices have been witnessed. If you hold anuttara-level teachings, you can get permission to observe some of the 'hoverers' now in the Himalayas. I have witnessed first hand yogic running, and it is quite odd to see as the person looks like a cartoon figure running up and down hills as if gravity didn't matter.

I've had it up to my seventh chakra with this rant over the last several decades, Invincibility, invincibility what a pile of vedic cow droppings. Its just so silly. first, wtf does it even mean? Invincibility of will, of desire, of intent? The inevitability of a space-time experience? --- michael [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: - Yogic Flying students in Panama to create invincibility for the nation by Global Good News staff writer Global Good News 20 May 2008 Speaking recently on Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace, spoke about a university and private school in Panama that are introducing Consciousness-Based Education to their students. First Raja Jose Luis reported that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, had said Panama is the country that is 'Nyaya*, the lamp at the door'; it stands at the gap between, and puts together, North and South America. Panama is a small country in population, 'but very important in its position', said Raja Jose Luis. It has the requirement of 160 Yogic Flyers to create Invincibility for the nation. At the Universidad Nacional, which is the main government university in Panama with 75,000 students, the top professors have been practising Transcendental Meditation for many years, and they have been praising this knowledge. Recently they started an initiative to create invincibility for the country, and in the university and the private school related to the university, there are now enough Transcendental Meditation participants ready to raise the nation to invincibility. The school principal very much wanted to have this knowledge of Consciousness-Based Education in the school. Last year they started with a group of 100 students, and now they have made it mandatory for every student to practise Transcendental Meditation and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, which includes Yogic Flying, at the school. 'It's not a choice any more,' Raja Jose Luis said, so if one attends that school, now the students know Transcendental Meditation is part of the school. Now they are building a full Maharishi Sthapatya Veda school near this school, in order to double the number of students that will be creating Invincibility for Panama. Recently an official from the Ministry of Education visited the school, and reported that it is very different from other schools in terms of no violence, the receptivity of the students, and calmness. Raja Jose Luis reported that the school principal said they feel that this programme is now 'a deep part of how they want to do in education in the country, and she was also sending very good wishes for our [Global Country of World Peace] and saying that from the school they feel . . . Maharishi guiding them to do Transcendental Meditation to raise the nation to invincibility. 'They are very committed,' said Raja Jose Luis. 'It's a very special school, because it is one of the few schools in Latin America that have Taoism and Shintoism as part of the religion of the school. It's a very unique school in their concepts of education, and we are very happy that in the month of May, we'll have a sufficient number of Yogic Flyers for the country. That means at the end of this month and the beginning of June, we will see Panama with enough Yogic Flyers on a stable basis.' Raja Jose Luis expressed his deep appreciation to the professor at the University Nationale, the school principal, and all the Transcendental Meditation Teachers in Panama, for upholding the flag of Invincibility. 'Panama had no teacher of Transcendental Meditation for a few years until November last year, and now the organization is becoming re-established, first by creating national invincibility,' Raja Jose Luis concluded. * An aspect of the Vedic Literature. © Copyright 2008 Global Good News® - Gesendet von Yahoo! Panama is the country that is 'Nyaya*, the lamp at the door' they're just parroting what they heard. The lamp in the door (delhidipa) is one of the sayings in the Nyaya sutras of Kannada. The delhidipa, the lamp on the threshold, is not Nyaya but merely one of it's sayings, that's all.

It was very visible, my bottom discs were compressed like a marathon runners. Hetried to explain the implications of my behavior but, of course, I was too enlightened for his advise at the time. I don't know if discs can recover from such a stress but my back is great these days from all the core training workouts I do so I can't assess if I sustained any long term damage. What was interesting for me was that I saw my compressed discs at the time and still continued to practice flying until I got out of the mindset that I was doing cosmic good for myself.
