Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: Thursday's Overposting
Hi, yes this program did read your "lol" as just that almost like a name lola but missing the "a" sound. Earlier email I typed IMO so it read it as I-M-O and my brain interpreted it as "in my opinion". It will read abbreviations as lets to me then I figure out their meaning. The biggest issue is the spell checker if I am typing and mean to type "this" and it forgets the "t" then it reads it as "his" which is a word in the dictionary so at times it can make me sound like I cannot speak English lol I had a gentlemen yesterday tell me to get lost cause they wanted English speakers on their group and unfortunately I had to inform the close minded nit of my situation and the issues I am learning to deal with on this program. So truly my apologies to any of you this frustrates all I can say is hit delete:) If you all want to learn more about this program its called Jaws and can be found at http://www.freedomescientific.com and if you have questions I will answer them as best as I can. All pc's come with a accessibility feature and voice synthesizer under accessories its similar to the JAWS program just not as advanced. Thanks for the welcome. Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: Thursday's Overposting
Morning thank you for the warm welcome. I will be sure to keep that whip close by! A small blurb about me ok well I am HellBug (Bug for short) a nickname friends many moons ago gave me cause my opinions about life, government and politics annoy some yet I'm loyal to a fault. I am head strong, determined and yet I care about others which IMO most of the human race is lacing compassion most of the time. I'm 36, a Libra, born in California but moved to Oklahoma when my youngest son was born wanting the kids to have a better life away from the city. I'm a huge animal lover I have five Chihuahua's plan to start breeding them soon and like to write poetry and short stories. Hope this works as my introduction and its really nice to meet you all on this list. I assume you are using some sort of special devise for the vision-impaired that enables you to hear (or feel, through Braille) the text that comes over the internet into your computer. As such, your computer monitor is sitting there not being used. Since it is serving no useful purpose, I suggest that you put it to use as a sort of tote board in order to keep track of your posts. The smooth surface of its screen combined with the extra-sensitive sense of "touch" blind people develop through their experience with Braille will come in handy in this regard. Here's what you do: take a sharp, hard object like a rock or a piece of gravel from your driveway. Every time you make a post to FairFieldLife, scratch a notch onto the surface of the monitor and -- Voila! -- you've got a tally sheet sitting conveniently right there in front of you on your desktop that you can easily run your fingers across in order to determine how many posts you've made. It should look something like this:

If you're capable of reading the posts here and replying to them, as you just did, blindness should have no effect on your ability to count how many times per day you post to the group. But, assuming you have the sense of touch, you could keep track by making a tear in the edge of a scrap of paper every time you post. By feeling and counting the number of tears in the paper, you'd know how many posts you made. -- No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
