Please - I need another big prayer for George!!
  Hi,
I mentioned to you a little bit, but I have been trying to capture one of my
feral boys, George for a couple of weeks now, I feel like he is getting
thinner to me, and hebarelyeats (he sips juice from fish can's soup)
and I am just so worried about this guy - He does not go into a trap since I
screwed it up last time, so I feel like the only chance I have in order to
catch him is with a fish net - I caught three cats in the pat with fish net -
it's more riskier than trap, but I feel like I shouldn't wait too long to
catch him because of his health condition-and don't know any other waythat I can - I also have
anappointment to talk to Dr. Ryan (AC)so that I can find out more
about his condition now - and if she has any meditation or suggestions
as to how I can catch him succesfully before it's too late
  -

  According
  to Jasmine (AC) whom
I spoke with a couple of weeks ago, he has a moderate
kidney problem and might have an infection with one of his long teeth (I have
given some antibiotics in his food for a couple of time) - he is also willing
to be adopted by me (at least he is willing to give a try)
  -
  Please pray that I can
successfully catch him very soon and he will be safe and Ok until I can catch
  him! Thank you!

Thank you, Kerry for your encouragement and
prayer I really need it - a good thing is that he doesnt seem too
fast (its not a good thing if you think why he is not that fast..)- I
have been practicing with fish net when George is not around my other
kitties who watch me from the outside enclosed area are probably thinking
our mom finally have gone nuts! but I cant mess it up I have

Dear Hideyo,
I too hope you convince George to let you catch him soon.

Have you really scrubbed out the trap and then sprayed it
with some feliway and sprinkled catnip all over it?
Sometimes you really have to change the smell of the trap.

Is the trap inside a large black garbage bag that is taped
around it to keep it from flapping in the wind? Some cats
find the safety of a hole more reassuring than an open trap.

Good luck!

No, I haven't - I am using a dog trap, which is different one from he
got caught earlier - but I have been leaving the flap door open with a
bungee code and put the food at the very end corner, and he eats off of
it - but whenever I put the food in too middle area, then he gets
nervous and does not want to go in to eat - I was going to be patient
and move the food bowl a little by a little so that he will eventually
go in there, then I can close the flap door manually (with a long string
attached to the door) - but I am also so worried about his condition and
don't want to wait too long - because if he does not have an appetite, a
trap won't do any good - but I also hate to take a chance because I
could scare him, and not catch him if I use the fish net - and it's very
difficult to transfer from the fish net to something else by yourself -

I will try the catnip though since I much prefer to catch him in a trap
- I was also thinking of putting sod (grass patch) at the bottom so that
he really can't tell the border of the trap - what do you think?

He was sleeping for a while in my garden and he was just so cute - but I
also know that he is an older guy, and would like a place to rest
without worrying about being chased by others -

Thank you, Kat, please send me and George a good energy so that we can
be together all the time!!!

Sometimes I use a towel on the bottom of the trap to mask the wire
grid. Lay a light towel from the opening to the back of the trap, make
sure the towel won't get caught between the trip and the floor of the
trap, or the towel is so heavy that it prevents the trip from closing
the trap. If I have a few days to get them used to it, I'll block the
trap open, (like you've been doing) and drape the towel so that it's on
the ground and in the trap as well, (to get them used to stepping and
eating off the towel).

Good luck Hideyo,

I have successfully trapped cats a 2nd time. It's not as easy, but if you let him go without food a bit he'll go in. I would try with the fish net if you've had luck with it in the pas though. It's so hard dealing with ferals. They are just so afraid. : (
