I am also fascinated by whiskers! My sweet little Cricket has slightly curled ones, and she brings them all forward when I ask her for a kiss. I consider that a very big compliment! My Miss loves hers stroked. Cotton has one black whisker on each cheek. The others are all white. I always talk to him about his "little black whiskers". He does NOT give kisses, but is much better about receiving. My tuxedo cat Myca has the most beautiful incredibly long, straight white whiskers which contrast so with his black hair. When any go missing, I ask him where he's left them, especially his antennae whiskers. Sandy

Have a poem about whiskers inscribed on little cloth banners to be hung on the wall, and hot-glue whiskers to an image of a cat drawn on the banner. Name the cat "Carpet Scraps" or some such. find a shed whisker on the floor, I pick it up, admire it, and put it in my
whisker collection.

have a potter design little ceramic cats and insert the whiskers in the
appropriate places, entitling them "Carpet Scraps" to make people aware that
they hadn't been pulled from the cat. But I thought better of
it.

But maybe there's a use for those whiskers, somewhere out there. I must have at least two-hundred by now. I used to have more, but when we came back from the Congo, half our shipment was stolen by the Congolese shipping company, and they ended up with the bags of shed whiskers in the boxes that they willy-nilly grabbed.
