Re: [Finale] Expression bug?
Drag around the expression and you will select all of the handles at once, so you can delete them all with one touch of Delete. They probably reproduced themselves like lemmings from copy and paste operations in 2005, where there were problems excluding measure expressions from Items to Copy. Fixed in 2006c or so. Re: [Finale] Expression bug?
Richard, Check to see if this expression is in this place because it has been copied from another place in a mass edit operation. There is a history of erratic copying behavior like this. There may be several superimposed copies. If this is so, when you click on one to delete it, it probably does delete - exposing the one underneath. Repeat the procedure until the expression disappears. See if this works. Chuck On Aug 24, 2006, at 6:23 PM, Richard Yates wrote: I have a file with a text expression assigned to all staves. Re: [Finale] Expression bug?
Richard, in FinWin 2006c I was able to grab the bottom one with the Selection tool (arrow) and then delete all three. Same with 2005. Sometimes it takes several attempts, though. I haven't installed 2007 yet. RBH Richard Yates wrote: I have a file with a text expression assigned to all staves. Slow down the tempo from 74 to, say, 32 and they'll multiply less quickly. :) Anyway, I marquee-deleted them (my usual method of swooping by rather than trying to grab tiny handles), then undid that and started dragging just to find out how many there were. Don't know where the bug arose, but wherever it comes from, it's never bitten me (yet). Dennis ___ Finale mailing list Finale@shsu.edu http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
